Historically good. But this visit was a big disappointment. Server Rick was great. Food quality was sad. Appetizers were overcooked and skimpy. Entrees were not up to par. Shrimp in baked stuffed dish were dry and over cooked. Fried shrimp was greasy. Boston Cream Pie was more of a flan. Bananas Foster were barely warm.

Came with our grandson for his 11th birthday... absolutely fantastic! Shout out to Harmony as our waitress... couldn't have been better!!! Needing a gluten free option, Carter was so over the moon wth the rolls and then the lobster! The staff hand delivered a GF cake with the birthday song... just the best we could ever have asked for!!! Our... More

I was at PVD airport and had several hours between flights. The airport didn't really have anything that impressed me dining wise. I asked one of the shop keepers where could I go close by and get some real New England seafood. A couple got together and told me to try Legal Seafoods. I left the airport in search of... More

The shrimp was very overdone and the crap cake was small with more filler than meat. The staff was very nice.

We were seven in our group that evening. As we were waiting for some of our party to arrive we sat at the bar first. The place was packed! The bartender attended to us right away. Then we sat at our table and we're attended to right away. Very good food and I must say that for such a huge... More

This restaurant had a wide variety of seafood offerings! The lobster bisque was delicious, as we as the lobster mac and cheese! Would definitely go back.

We ate here twice, as it was close to our hotel. Excellent salads. Had lobster rolls on two occasions, one was succulent and sweet, the other just OK. Great clam chowder. Also, very good fish and chips. Reliable choice for dinner.

not only was it very large and very loud but the food was very average, too. i guess that's what you should expect. we had the (live) lobster but it was nothing like a live, fresh caught maine lobster in spite of what it said on the menu. the place is expensive, too, with the average entree around $30. a... Description
The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish.

Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels.

We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods.

Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker.

We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
