Stopped in for drinks after exploring much of the Freedom Trail. This isn't the "Cheers" from the show (the one the show used was by Boston Common), but there is a gift shop in a floor below if you want. Just had a quick drink and there were plenty of options. Great people watching spot too.

There are two Cheers and this is the one in Quincy Market. The "real" one is in the Beacon Hill area. We had lunch with a couple of beers. It wasn't overly busy. The clam chowder in a real bread bowl was very good and I enjoyed my coach's club. They got my special order correct. The menu has all... More

Small menu not a lot to choose from for entrees. Onion ring basket was yummy. Burgers were "cheaply" made not the best beef used. Very loud and crowded. Food is pretty average would've opted for something else next time.

It started pouring out so we ran in here because it was close. Had a couple of beers waiting for the rain to stop. Against our better judgement and because we were starving we ordered the flat bread pizza. It was undercooked, not seasoned and was bad. The bartender was friendly.

We enjoyed a quick drink and bite to eat at Cheers. The food was good at portions larger than I expected. There were two bartenders on staff, one was great - cheerful and approachable. The second was efficient but not friendly. We ordered a drink, she didn't acknowledge that she heard us. We asked for a condiment for our food,... More

Had to visit a cheers bar while in Boston. Cute surroundings with lots of cheers items to purchase. Seated straight away, we quickly ordered. Staff were friendly enough. I had the cheese burger, the burger was a good quality however it was bland. Fries were ok. My husbands burger had flavour but the quality was not as good as mine.... More

Atmosphere was okay. We stopped in for a beer just to check it out. Had already visited the one on Beacon Street. It is convenient when you visit the North End, Fanieull Hall area. Not a big deal. Tourist trap.

We went here just to say we did. Sat at the bar and had the red brick sam Adams that you can only get in Boston. It was worth it. Definitely try the red brick!!!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
