Went on Sat night with 5 business associates. A good time was had by all. The homemade pasta was excellent and the apps were varied and delicious. Good atmosphere to talk business and beer and wine at the table. No liquor at the table though so if you want a cocktail, you have to finish it in their bar.

Service a little pushy at first but finally figured out we were there to enjoy our meal. Carbonara was okay but much better at a place we ate at a few days ago. Meatballs were outstanding! Just like grandmother's! Ziti was fresh, flavorful and cooked perfectly. Tortellini was also outstanding! Large and stuffed with ham and ricotta in a cream... More

Wow!!!! My fiancée and I ate lunch here and what a huge win!! We took several recommendations from our waiter who was awesome as he nailed it!! My fiancée is a hard palate to please and she was stunned and thrilled with the truffled ravioli. Wow! She admitted to me that this was the best meal she has ever had... More

My family and I stopped here for lunch as we were completing the Freedom Trail and we were blown away by the food, truly delicious! It was wonderfully set out and genuinely so yum. Either a great stop on the Freedom Trail or just as a place to stop for lunch and dinner, you have to go try this Italian... More

We had a gathering of 8 old friends together for dinner here. We made reservations and we seated on time as planned. The restaurant has 2 sections - the older original section including some seating in the basement and the new section. I'd suggest asking for the new section as it seems to have been recently redone. We were put... More

I couldn't wait to go back to this North End restaurant. Our first meal there was fresh and interesting. Earlier today, we made a reservation for 6:30 (Friday). We dropped off three members of our five-person party to secure our table while we parked. When my husband and I walked in, the "greeter" was loudly chastising a staff person about... More

We just returned from a wonderful meal! The atmosphere is lovely with an attractive bar area and dining room. Every employee we had any contact with was very nice and welcoming. It was a good thing we had reviewed the menu online as making a choice was very difficult because everything we saw around us looked so good! We started... More

We ate at Trattoria Il Panino on a busy Saturday night during a holiday weekend. Arrived an hour prior to our reservation - we were not expecting to be able to be seated early but decided to ask anyway. To my surprise they sat us immediately. I would have preferred to dine upstairs, but downstairs was fine, if a little... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
