Just got in from Legal Sea Foods and was so disappointed that I had to sit down and write this review right away. Ok so to start with the service was very good. We came in at the end of the night around 9:30 with a large table and our waiter was very kind and attentive throughout the evening. My... More

I've eaten at Legal Seafoods before, and last week ate at Legal C in Legacy, Dedham which was great. This one is disappointing. Proof that bigger is not necessarily better. After waiting half an hour for our table, we waited another 20 minutes to be served. Our wine from the menu was t available, the waiter hadn't got a clue... More

We visited this restaurant on a recent week long trip to Boston. Although we weren’t planning to dine at this particular sea food restaurant , we were extremely glad we did. Conveniently situated around the corner from our hotel, we were completely surprised by this gem we had found. Firstly we found the decor inside the restaurant spot on. We... More

You see Legal Sea Foods every time you turn around in Boston. Why is that? Because it is really good. I can get a crab roll or chowder fix anywhere in town. It may not be the best in town, but in any other town it would be amazing. All of them have an Allegash White to wash it down.... More

First time at Legal Sea Foods. It was excellent. Superb building and decor. Very attentive well trained staff. Oh then there's the sea food which was world class. Could do with one of these in Yeovil.

The food is always good at this location of Legal Sea Foods with great New England Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque and a great selection of fish. The trout here is one of our personal favourites. The service is efficient and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. When in Boston this is always one of our stops.

Seafood and clam chowder was great, as always. However, we felt it was far more expensive than previous visits. Bottles of wine were too expensive for us to contemplate. The poor pound/dollar exchange rate was a huge factor here.

Great food & portions, great service, enjoyable atmosphere and the seafood could not be any fresher. Pricing is also very reasonable for the nice portions you receive. Would recommend Legal Sea Foods to anyone!

Calling all gormands and oenophiles! This Legal Sea Foods' location in Boston's Theater District, surrounded by hotels and nearby Newbury Street, Copley Square and Boston Common, offers an expanded wine menu - 40 pages in all. Just inside you'll see a two-story cascading fountain, the center-piece of the restaurant. Splash down in our dining room or make waves in our comfortable lounge three fathoms below. Our award-winning Wine Cellar, which holds over 10,000 bottles and 800 different labels, is also downstairs. Call ahead and ask our wine steward for a tour. Those who like to 'wine and dine' are in luck because our working Cellar doubles as private dining space for social and corporate functions.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
