Ate here during 'Storm Stella'. Was one of the only restaurants open in the area. Had the spinach/roasted beet salad and it was delicious. Had the chicken things too (don't remember what they were actually called but they were like a chicken patty with tzatiki on them). These were not so good. Great service.

We return here again and again when in Boston. Always a warm welcome, good food and a great pint of Guinness or a local beer.

Super yummy burgers and great beers! Staff was very nice and accommodating! My 12 and 13 year olds loved it too!

This was a great place for brunch on a snowy Sunday. We went with our kids (mid to late teens), 2 twenty-somethings, and my husband and I. The menu was very extensive, and we all were challenged to choose just one thing! We already said we have to go back so we can try more items. Great waitress too!

This bar is a little piece of Ireland in Boston! Feels so traditional and authentic and it nice to step away from all the other mainstream bars and sit in somewhere homely and comfortable. Worth a visit

Went on a Friday night with 6 people and no reservation. They quickly accommodated us and were so nice about what was likely a hitch in their night! We had drinks (cranberry margarita was amazing!) and ordered dinner. Then we had 2 more people join us and again, they quickly added another table to help us out. The food was... More

Super cute place with fantastic service and great food! I had their special burger, super good and we also had the shepherds pie and pulled pork sandwich, everyone was happy with their food and the waitress was adorable!

The setting was great. Authentic Irish servers. Service with a smile. The food however was disappointing. I had the Emmets Burger. The cararmelized onions were good, but the burger in general lacked any real flavor. The fries were cold. The Caesar Salad was not fresh. It tasted like they made a batch for lunch and served it at dinner. The... More

When in town, always come here for lunch. Great lay back atmosphere and the food is very good. Can't wait for our next visit.

I hopped the bus from New Hampshire to spend some quality time sampling a few Irish pubs in Boston with my niece in preparation for a visit to Ireland. This was my favorite spot out of three yesterday. It had a cozy and inviting atmosphere with great Irish music playing during our visit. The guinness was perfect and Emmet's Irish... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
