The veal was quite good, service pleasing, cute place with some atmosphere. A good choice for a nice lunch as most of the other more upscale restaurants were not open for lunch. All in all, satisfied that we tried this one.

In looking at the reviews the theme seemed to be that the food was quite good but the reservation process was flawed (a reservation did not necessarily guarantee entry at the appointed time). We went this week and the food, indeed was quite good. I had veal saltimbuca and my wife had chicken caccitore. Both were very tasty. We had... More

We had visited this restaurant three years ago while visiting Boston and returned this weekend. Very flavorful food at a reasonable price for good portion sizes. Calamari, escargot, veal and chicken appetizers/meals were all fresh and enjoyed! Our waiter was not the friendliest but he did do his job and get all four of our meals correct. Small restaurant with... More

Unusual process or lack of Most people had reservations but you did not necessarily get seated at that time - there was a hostess you spoke to who said stand over there (outside - no inside place to stand) She then took people in some order that was not obvious to anyone. Food was average - I would try another... More

I had dinner here in October, 2016. When I walked in, I was surprised at how tiny the restaurant seemed, but I understand there are multiple levels. We were seated on the street level. Food was very good. I ordered eggplant parmigiana, and my boyfriend ordered gnocchi. The eggplant was good, but the gnocchi was out of this world! It... More

There are many resturants on Hanover St for Italian food. It was windy and cold and some of the places we wanted to go to had a line outside. We stopped into this place which is small. I got eggplant parm which was not fried. It did not come with pasta nor anything else. They did serve bread. My wife... More

We were in town for a combination business/pleasure trip and wanted to enjoy a meal in the North End after a long, rainy day of site-seeing. I'm not sure why they say they take reservations (we, like many in line we talked to, made reservations on Open Table). They don't have a check in desk, didn't care what our name... More

On vacation and went here for dinner with another couple. Picked it because we were able to get a reservation on Open Table. Arrived and reservation was honored, but only because our entire party was there. The hostess seemed disorganized and didn't mark us off, but we got a table and we were happy. Our waiter Mike came and took... More

An 8:30 reservation get us seated 20 minutes later after waiting on the cols drafty sidewalk. Our table for 7 was up 2 extremely steep stairs and we sat squished together. Sevierville was slow but friendly. Food was only average and not worth $60/pp.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
