I've visited au bon pain every day at the Hynes convention center. Everything there was exceptional, especially the hazelnut coffee.

A nice, unpretentious place for an inexpensive breakfast. The oatmeal was good; the chocolate croissants were worthy of Paris or New Orleans. Great coffee too! The extensive menu offers healthy alternatives also. Do yourself a favor and breakfast here before a busy day sightseeing or shopping!

Helpful staff, clean, wide selection of food, but not well prepared. I went there for breakfast one day and lunch another day. Had a salad, coffee, oatmeal. Not a fan of pre-prepared food lacking freshness; coffee not very hot; oatmeal overdone. Really crowded during peak hours. Would only and did only use this establishment in a pinch.

Two of us stopped in for a quick lunch. I wanted the grilled cheese sandwich that comes with tomato and bacon, but without the bacon. The person at the register asked if I wanted a different type of grilled cheese sandwich (not on the menu board) that was the same except it didn't have bacon. But when I got it,... More

Hope I'm commenting on the right Au Bon Pain, the one attached to the convention center. We were at a very busy conference with 6,000 teachers all rushing to get to morning sessions. This restaurant was so efficient! The staff was very pleasant and fast! Three days in a row I ordered their egg cheddar and avocado on skinny bagel.... More

Yes, this is a chain, but they were founded in Boston. They are nationwide now. I enjoy their food, coffee and especially the pastries! Just go to the glass case and drool~

Nothing special here but the fact that you can customize your salads and sandwiches and that it tastes better than subway. Rather efficient ordering system, fair pricing for a fast food level place with a nice little patio...nice snacks and desserts selections for the kids :)

Excellent choices for sandwiches, soups, salads, pastries and coffee. Fresh Squeezed Juice! Best Jalapeno bagel and croissants! This sore is smaller and does not have a lot of places to seat but it is nice for a quick bite. Super convenient location right in Copley square.

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
