This is my all time favorite restaurant in the North End. Charlene (spelling) is NOT rude, she is efficient. The restaurant is very tiny, she doesn't want you standing over the diners while you wait, so she asks you to go outside and she will come out in a few minutes to inquire about having a reservation and to tell... Deceptively plain surroundings, white tile walls, surprise with really good and tasty food in this tiny Hanover St Italian eatery, surrounded by larger and more luxurious appearing competitors. It's small, with some diners on bar stools facing the windows on Hanover, some at a tiny bar at the back, the rest on the less than a dozen tables. The single server... More

Anyone who does not give this restaurant five stars does not appreciate dining in the North End. This is a small restaurant with two servers; small kitchen; terrific wine list and great food. Please make a reservation, sit down and enjoy....

This was a charming authentic north end Italian Restaraunt that was packed and smelled amazing. I'm carb free and had the seafood stew which was delicious. I struggled to find another appetizer that was carb free and not seafood (to be different from entry). The menu is very limited so if your a carb free person just be prepared.

Even though place is small, it has a very cosy atmosphere. Ordered the veal scallopine and pan roasted chicken breast, both meat are tender and sauce is flavorful. Server doubles as host but that doesn't affect her responsesiveness and attentiveness. Got their complimentary tiramisu which has the perfect balance of softness and sweetness. Worth braving through a snow storm to... More

What a great evening. The owner made us feel really special and gave great advice on a (cheaper) wine as well as bringing the most divine food and complimentary tiramisu!! Will go there every time I visit Boston. Thanks again.

This cozy restaurant is a little gem right on Hanover. The menu has so many good choices and everything is made to order and delicious. This is an authentic and fun experience and the service is incredibly friendly.

Delicious, fresh Italian food. I got the classic linguini. It was amazing. My friend got tiger shrimp with white sauce. She loved it. We had to take half of each meal back with us. Highly recommend. It is difficult find. There is no sign on the outside. We called while walking to get help finding.

I had a late night dinner with my family at Pomodoro on our first evening in Boston. We were enchanted by the food quality and refinement (the mushroom ragu was incredible) as well as the cosy setting. Shivaun, the manager, is a treasure and spent 30 minutes writing down all her cultural and culinary recommendations for our trip which were... More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
