I believe that the hype of Italian restaurants in the North End (Boston's Little Italy) is nowadays exaggerated. It's difficult to find an authentic Italian, and Assaggio is no different from the others. Granted, I have lived in Italy for various decades, so I am...More

We ate there on a Saturday evening. Mainly an adult restaurant - but we had 4 children with us under the age of 10. Kids ate appetizer sized portions. The salads were great - both the house and the ceasar. We had very good service....More

Assaggio is a typical restaurant in Boston’s north end, its busy, which means its loud, and full of people who are enjoying their first time to Boston. If you’re expecting what you might call an authentic Boston experience, only come here if you’re looking for...More

The main floor is small but no one bumped into my chair despite the central position of my table. The Maitre' d was charming and old school. The waiters were polite and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone!

This was an out of town birthday dinner. The food was amazing, the location convenient, and the service is first class. There wasn't an unappealing dish on the menu. The ONLY downside to this restaurant is the floor space. It's very small and has a...More

Excellent food and attentive service! I can highly recommend the lasagna! The burrata bruschetta was outstanding. The salad was, well...a salad. We opted out of dessert as we were just too full. I would highly recommend!

Wonderful restaurant on side street off the main thoroughfares of the Italian North end. Food was great and nicely presented. Service was first class.

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church
