We made the reservation late in the day using open table. When we arrived all the restaurants in the area including this one were packed, with many people waiting for tables. The restaurant was buzzing but our server was attentive and never left us waiting. The food was nice but nothing special. By that I mean that it was tasty... More

I was in Boston on business and wanted a bar where I could have a glass of wine, a delicious Italian meal, and nice spot to do some work/read. Artu helped me accomplish this...and more! I sat at the bar downstairs, no wait, quite space, the bartender was super nice. They serve the full menu at the bar PLUS bar... More

We took some out-of-town friends to the north end to experience the wonderful Italian neighborhood. We ate at Artu's to complete our experience. None of us were disappointed. And we all had different meals including: lobster ravioli, eggplant Parmagianna, veal, and a pork dish. Each one of us enjoyed our meal tremendously and were very satisfied. Our waiter was friendly... More

I've been here many times. Love the great Italian food!! I'm never disappointed with anything I order and my last visit was no exception. The meatballs were amazing and the spinach cheese manicotti delicious and comforting the other day!!

Happened upon this spot and decided to eat dinner. It was pretty good food and the wait staff was amiable. All I wanted was grilled chicken and veggies, but didn't see that on the menu. The waiter said it wasn't a problem and brought me a yummy meal. Darn, they didn't have cremé limoncello.

Great spot for lunch in the north end, not as crowded as others and a great choice. Awesome service and lunch dishes, we shared a salad, pizza, panini. Recommend if you are in the neighborhood. Reasonable prices for lunch.

Had lunch here after a whale watch tour. It's a long bar with a restaurant at the back. It's got a nice vibe, modern with a soft warm feel. We sat at the bar and chatted with Wendy and some of the other customers many of whom are regulars, having a very convivial lunch. We had the pizzas which were... More

The food was very tasty and the wine was delicious. I'm not a huge fan of Italian food but everything was really quite good. The server was exceptional and informative and was ready with his favorite recommendations. The atmosphere was very warm and romantic but a little loud. The restaurant is small but intimate and not squished feeling. There were... More

The restaurant competition in the north end is significant but I love Artu's Veal Parm; I planned a night in Boston just so I could return here for the same meal that I had 15 months ago. The food is excellent, the service is very good although rushed....high production. The restaurant is somewhat crowded and loud. All that said,,,,I will... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
