Love this place - down to earth, simple a REAL pub. Great Staff - Nate is pretty cool. We make sure we have a least one pint of Guinness when we are in Boston. We have been twice a year for the last 3 years.

We nipped into Durty Nelly's whilst doing the Freedom Trail. It was OK, but in October, with the doors open, it was a bit draughty. Beer was OK, but not a lot of choice. Very little seating

A hidden gem, down an alley. Bartenders attentive & personable. Cool little hole in the wall - with a lot of charm!

Don't miss Durty Nelly's. Great place to spot by for a few. Good spot for happy hour. Nothing fancy and that's the point. Real drinking pub!

Stopped in for a quick drink The drinks and the service was fine but this was obviously a local's bar and by no means upscale. Probably be a good place to watch a game with some locals.

Nick was our bartender for the night. At first I was a little Leary as he didn't know he difference between UP and Straight. We squared that away quickly. This place is perfect! In a great neighborhood smack dab near all kinds of neighborhoods you want to shop and visit. Saturday's you can catch the farmers market right outside the... More

A nice location right in the Haymarket. Not a neighborhood hangout but a good place for tourists and locals in the area. Friendly staff and a decent food selection, great for a pint and a quick lunch in the area. You can always finish it off with a Boston pretzel from the market...

A reasonable selection of local and beyond tap beers, a great location overlooking the Haymarket vegetable vendors, and a nice atmosphere with lots of wood. Not a lot of space, but a great place to duck in during the day. Staff could have been a little more friendly, but they were fairly busy.

I was never a fan of Bloody Mary's until I came here. This is the only place I will drink them now. When we come from Houston once a year, this is our first stop. Bartenders Nick and Nate are awesome!

Thank chips&salsa

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
