My Chilean bass clay pot was out of this world tasty. The next table was having a chicken clay pot, which we overheard them were also moaning! Definitely be coming here more often!!

My wife and I ate at Typhoon on the evening of August 16th 2014 It is a beautiful setting located on Boylston Street. There are around 6 tables outside which are enclosed and very nicely lit up with candles and there are many tables inside. The staff are welcoming, friendly and very attentive. Water filled on arrival is a nice... More

Sushi is very solid here at Typhoon Asian Bistro every time we visit. One of my guests doesn't do sushi, therefore she ordered the wok-seared filet mignon, some Vietnamese restaurants call this dish ((bo luc lak) *spelling). We all had a taste from her plate, and my oh my, it was the softest and tastiest cubes of steaks I've ever... More

Cosy little place - I recommend a table outside if the weather allows it! My first visit was for lunch, where I had a great mango/shrimp salad - it was tasty and combined a lot of fantastic asian flavours! I thought it so good, that I actually returned with a collegue for dinner a couple of weeks later. The sushi... More

My spouse and I were craving Thai food and found Typhoon a convenient walk from our hotel in the Back Bay. We shared the spicy lemon grass chicken soup, Chicken Pad Thai, and the Thai Beef curry with vegies. Portions were generous but not overly large. The food was the right level of hot/spicy for me, and the service was... More

For starters, hubby had the appetizer platter and I had the Lemon Grass Soup. The platter was good - the skewered meat was fairly typical but I fried rolls were flavorful and excellent. Lemon grass soup had nice flavor but there was little solid in it. The appetizer was definitely the better deal. Hubby had the sashimi dinner which had... More

The items were very flavorful, but not overwhelming. I had the spicy lemongrass soup and a tuna temaki (hand roll). I highly recommend both because of the flavor and cost. However, it only makes for a small meal. This restaurant is rather expensive. Those two small items cost me $12+ before tax and tip.

Off the plane, checked in to our Hotel, hungry, in a city we don't know and by chance we stopped here as we like sushi and it was close to the hotel. A bright sunny day so we sat out on the terrace and had a fantastic lunch. The sushi was excellent, service was great and the price was perfect.... More

Went there twice on our stay inBoston because the first time it was so good and I did not get glutened. The dishes are works of art. The first server was very good about GF food and told me I could not eat off my daughter's plate because it had soy sauce. The first night I had salmon with tomato... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
