I have never been disappointed at a Ruth's Chris. Our meal was outstanding, the service was excellent, and the ambiance incredible. I would dine here again and recommend to all.

Steak is tasty, cooked to perfection. Yummy! Wine is also good. Chocolate cake is great but quite heavy for dessert. Recommended.

Beautiful building, excellent food however staff were not particularly friendly and impersonal. We felt the whole experience lacked atmosphere.

What a great place. My kids have life threatening food allergies - no problem for the staff at this restaurant. Friendly, attentive and fun is the only way to express our experience. Our server was Justin and he was just great. Food was the best and the steak...just cannot be beat by anyone. Fabulous atmosphere and my pre-teen girls loved... More

We visited Ruth's Chris for the first time during Dine Out Boston. The steak was impeccable and the sweet potato casserole was delicious. The dessert, however, left a lot to be desired, especially after enjoying the perfect steak.

Very nice located place, serving quality food. Rib eye steak was served exactly as ordered, both for me and the rest of the group. Side dishes were flawless, bread pudding which I took for the desert was really nice indeed as well. Nice selection of wines. Good service, clean facilities. Recommended.

I went here for my mom's birthday and we were all very impressed. The food was absolutely fantastic. It's a bit pricey, but if you are going for a birthday, for a business meal, or on a nice date, it's worth it. I highly recommend the filet mignon.

My family LOVES Ruth's Chris - it is our go-to celebration restaurant locally & we seek them out at every new city we visit. Unfortunately, this was the worst Ruth's Chris we have experienced thus far. While in a wonderful historical setting, the food was definitely below what we have come to expect and the service was dismissive - everything... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
