You got Mikes with a line out the door, Modern is similar and sometimes Bovas but Bovas is worth it all. Only a few times I had to wait. I did go to all three one night and tested the cannolis in my hotel room....More

Canolis for days! Every baked good you can think of, actually! Better than Mike’s or Modern, without the fuss or lines. Nutella canoli and creme brûlée canoli were to die for!!

I thought I had eaten some very good cannolis in my lifetime, I was wrong. We stopped in Bovas to find something for dessert after having dinner nearby. They have a huge inventory in their cases but the 2 women working were very helpful with...More

So many goodies to choose from! The fresh breads smelled soooo good but we were there for dessert so the focus was on the sweet side. The portion sizes are unbelievable....you definitely get your moneys worth. The lemon bar was good but the apple bar...More

Yes, that’s right. Why stand in a long line at Mikes Pastry in the North End when you can walk two blocks to this small, quaint pastry shop that offers the same desserts. Great selection, quick service and reasonable prices. Perfect for after dinner. Enjoy!

We were in the North End and roaming around the neighborhood. We ate at a restaurant across the street and were planning on going to Mike's Pastry's afterwards but we went in to this place and I am glad we did. I like Mike's but...More

This is the bakery to go to. Ignore the crowds of tourists and find the real heart of Boston patisseries. They have more delightful things to try than you'll ever get to. It's honestly overwhelming. The cookie monster cookies are quite charming. The brick cakes...More

TripAdvisor Forums told me this was the place where local get their Italian pastries and since it's open 24/7 we stopped in after a late dinner at Regina Pizzeria. It wasn't crowded but there were several other folks in there after 10 p.m. so we...More

We were in Boston over the weekend, and on Saturday evening we went to Bova's for Italian pastry. We ordered a zeppoli with ricotta and a mini lobster tail. Both were to die for. The aroma is wonderful as soon as you enter the shop....More

Bova's is an institution and open 24/7. You will need to take your goodies elsewhere to eat. Try the Greenway when the weather is warmer.
