We were wondering around the North End (and yes we have been to both Mike's and Modern), when we walked into this gem. The cannoli's are hands down the best (and the variety -Oreo, pumpkin, Nutella, etc.) are amazing. The best cannoli and one worth...More

This is a local treasure. A wonderful Italian bakery and sandwich shop, open 24 hours. Where else can you get a cannoli in the middle of the night, and a really great one at that! Do I need to say more? Everything is really good,...More

We have to stop whenever in the area. Great sweet treat and really good sandwiches. Not as busy as Modern Pastry or Mikes. They are even open 24 hours a day! Don’t miss it

This is our go-to spot for baked goods and sandwiches when we're in the North End. The service, products, prices and quality are without a doubt the best! I never leave Boston without a stop at Bova's!

This place is INCREDIBLE! I have been here many times and plan on coming back many more. I skip the line at mikes and modern and just come here. Their pastries are amazing and service is very fast and informative. Huge display cases of delicious...More

Probably the best place for cannolis, this gem of a bakery is one of the many hidden treats that the city of Boston has to offer. Most will go to Mike's or Modern, but this is the best of the lot. I kept the cannolis...More

Move over Mikes! There is a gem in the North End and it's not on Hanover Street. Bova's is an absolute delight! From the scent of the delicious popovers to the crispness of the florentines…wow! Prices and selection are amazing. And if you're in the...More

Great bakery. I love the service, and can’t stop wanting to sample everything. My go to as mikes is always crowded w tourists. Bova is a throwback, has to be experienced.

I love Mike’s and Modern Pastry, but the crowds can be a little much, especially for locals. My husband and I always go to Bova’s. It’s towards the back of the North End and has great desserts and cookies. There is no place to sit...More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church

Bova's is an institution and open 24/7. You will need to take your goodies elsewhere to eat. Try the Greenway when the weather is warmer.
