We waited for our server for a long time. We also waited for food while tables around us were served. The food itself was okay.

My husband and I took a couple of friends to dinner here last night. I had reserved a table a couple of weeks ago and we were given a nice, cosy booth for four. The service was very good and so was the food and drink, except I felt for the price we paid, the servings were rather small. My... More

Went here with my spouse for our anniversary. The place was less than half full. Friendly service, good food but given we had reservations and it was a special occasion and it wasn't crowded, would've hoped for a little more special attention.

As always, despite been full, even was alone, i was immediately attended and the food wonderfull. The price reasonable, good wines at affordable prices, acceptable noisy and the staff nice.

We love McCormick & Schmicks and try to find them in the cities that we visit. Their fish never disappoints. Their steak was prepared perfectly. Salads also yummy! Service was excellent. No complaints, just had to wait a bit at the end of dinner to get the check. Great location! I suggest you reserve a booth in advance - provides... More

To start with, the fresh Marguerites were simply gorgeous. We all had a couple on a beautiful Boston day sat outside. The staff were great. Friendly and attentive and I would highly recommend popping in after work before that long haul home

Our dinner with family members was of variable quality. We are all frequent and world-travelled diners and do a lot of "sharing" so I'll comment only on "majority opinions" of the group. Crab cakes were rather dry and "tasteless but meaty". Though the Oysters Rockefeller would get a "C" in cooking school, they flunked our appetizer course. Ribeye was tender... More

Do not order the lobster roll. Large party of 11. Was not crowded on Saturday night. Clam chowder was bland. Lobster roll dry with old bun, and lobster previously cooked...bitter. Oyster Rockefeller had no sauce to speak of.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
