Stopped for lunch on a Saturday. The service was great and the food was much better than you would expect.

The Sevens is no frills, i.e. no liquor and a make shift kitchen that is right behind the bar but if you want a beer or glass of wine served by friendly staff in a traditional Boston pub then this is the spot for you....More
The service was good. The food was not the best. The potatoe salad was "sad" as my friend described. They don't serve liquor, just so all knows. The nachos were the most simple and dull plate I've ever seen for nachos. Probably won't go again...More
First off - Joe the bartender was awesome. As soon as we sat down we felt like a local. Chowder was amazing, service was fantastic. Bought a shirt so I will remember to stop in when ever I return to this city!
Enjoyed lunch and a beer. Food was tasty. This spot has a nice atmosphere like an old style bar and grill. It is small and cozy. Would go back.

Beers were excellent and the waitress treated us well! Bar food was exactly that, bar food. Nothing special. I'd gladly stop in here again for a beer though. Tons of TV's playing regional sports. Quick service.
The sevens Ale House has been around for 80 years on Charles Street in Boston. The Jukebox is screaming sweaty basketball players we're watching the baseball game and we had fun. Good pizza and salad great service made us feel welcome and a part of...More
Went three on a Wednesday afternoon, was rather budy. They have a decent selection of beers and a nice menu, but the portions weren't that big, even by european standards.
Great chowda! Nice people! Relaxed local environment. Great location. Will visit every time I come to town. Great local bar pub!
