I really liked this place for breakfast. Food was great. Service was excellent. Server was cheeky and friendly and engaged with us. Sometimes a rare thing when people get too busy and task focussed. They play great music here too. It's 24/7 but I didn't look at what else they serve during the rest of the day, but I'll sure... More

The breakfast here is excellent and I highly recommend this restaurant. The Portions are so large you could split them. I had two eggs that came with enormous pancakes and three thick pieces of Canadian bacon. The pancakes are excellent and very large. If you eat here you probably won't need to eat again until dinner. The great part is... More

My son and I split two full orders of buttermilk pancakes and the multi-grain pancakes for breakfast! It turned out to be two breakfasts worth for us and we are not light eaters, either! The pancakes were light and fluffy but still very filling as these are one of the larger pancakes I have ever seen (3 in a full... More

Thought it was a very good breakfast - no complaints among the 5 of us. Good portion size. Waitstaff was pretty good. Open 24 hours.

Came here in search of a real diner experience. The menu was huge and it was tough to make a choice, but I had the Monte Cristo sandwich. It blew me away... I could barely finish half of it but it was delicious. If you want huge portions of delicious (but not so healthy) food, this is the place!

A wonderful local joint for fantastic breakfast! The portions are huge! The pancakes are the size of a large dinner plate! There were 2 of us in my dining party and we split a breakfast. She got the "2 eggs plus" and ate the eggs, bacon, and home fries and I ate the hot cakes (2 large pancakes! I got... More

I listened to everyone within earshot say, "wow", when their plates arrived. I believe they do have a lighter menu, but when you're "conventioning" for the day, you want to pack in as much food as you can! Omelets and breakfast burritos are huge, so you better make some extra time to finish it all. Seemed like a good deal.... More

On behalf of our family and staff, we welcome you to Brian's 24! We know you have a lot of choices when deciding where to eat and we're so glad that you chose our restaurant. Aside from the big bar and even bigger food, our place has a story…all great places have a story. This story starts in 2008 when a father (Steve) and a son (Brian) began a drive around the Gaslamp Quarter in search of their next family business venture. Being San Diego natives, Steve and Brian knew exactly what Downtown was missing, an all-hours restaurant where you could get good comfort food any time, day or night. Having come from a family of foodies and restaurateurs, and with Brian himself having spent time in the restaurant industry in Las Vegas, both Steve and Brian were ready for something fun, exciting and in the heart of their hometown. From the moment they stepped in to the restaurant off the lobby of the historic St. James Hotel, they knew they had found the spot. With its grand, hand-crafted mahogany bar (obtained from actress Joan Crawford's estate), beautiful crystal chandelier and tin ceiling, the place really had a warm feeling and a great personality. Fast-forward to today, and the family business is still going strong. After Steve's passing in 2010, the business now has more family members sharing in this labor of love, with Ida (mom), Andrea and Robin (two of Brian's four sisters) standing next to Brian at the helm. Our mission is simple - family, comfort food and anything you want, any time you want it.
