6 adults had dinner here and after much excitement looking at the menu which looked awesome and up our alley, the food really wasn't that great. The waiter was timely and friendly but the food wasn't very good and we had high expectations due to the price. We had to send the halibut back twice because it was rubbery and... More

Didn't enjoy it. First, we went with a group for a business dinner. I sat across from someone and could hardly hear him due to the nightclub level noise. But the worst was the food. I ordered the Tomahawk steak and asked the waiter about it. His curt and snippy reply was "it's 32 ounces." He gave me no further... More

Excellent visit to the Gaslamp District's Historic Walking Tour. All the buildings along this tour are marked with historic placards. Searsucker was along our journey so we stopped in without reservations for dinner. The staff were very friendly and welcomed us in right away. We sat at a quaint table for two about 5pm before the rush arrived. Our server... More

Admittedly we did not pre-book a table, so on arrival were told there would be a 35min wait to eat in the restaurant. After 45mins and two drinks in the bar we checked on our table. They had forgotten about us. Then they told us to wait a further 10 mins whilst they sorted a table. The table ended up... More

I enjoyed the meal I had at Searsucker but I am not giving it a 5 star, Mostly because the service was only slightly above normal. We had to wait on a couple of things and it took longer than it should have for the server to come to the table and welcome us and take our drink order. I... More

We went into Seersucker's for cocktails but liked it so much we decided to stay for food - in fact we ate here on two consecutive nights. The restaurant/bar area is large and there is a very good atmosphere. It's a popular venue, attracting a youthful, modern crowd. On both evenings we wanted to sit next to the window so... More

We had a large group dinner here in their private room upstairs. The food was truly outstanding but the servers seemed to get a bit overwhelmed; I think the restaurant didn't assign enough people to cover our group. No complaints otherwise.

This is a must-visit restaurant in downtown San Diego. I can't say enough about the exceptional service, amazing food, and very creative menu. Very fun atmosphere with an upscale feel but not pretentious. 5 stars!

From the ambience to the service, to the hand crafted gin monitor, to the eggs with bacon small plate, this place is awesome!!!! My husband and I dined here in early May. I was so excited to go and was not disappointed! We started with cocktails they were divine! Then small plate of poached egg over pork belly with rosemary... More

Searsucker's was recommended by two different friends back east and our concierge in our hotel. We were not disappointed, the food was unique, well prepared and delicious. The staff and service is excellent. I would highly recommend Searsucker's as a must for any visit to the San Diego area.
