I took my family here for my sister's birthday, and we were completely satisfied. Two major takeaways: impeccable service and even better food. I can't rave about our server enough. We ordered a variety of small plates, and she coursed them out based on what...More

I loved this place when I was in San Diego, it's right smack dab in the middle of the Gaslamp district. Great atmosphere; not formal or anything but you'd be fine to dress up if you wanted. I only hung out and ate at the...More

This was my second visit to Searsucker, and once again, I was most satisfied. Inventive and delicious food. Lively scene that progressed into a fun, Saturday night crowd. Great service.

Had a great night enjoying our first night in san diego. What a vibrant bar with so many options. The happy hour from 1630 to 1900 is also great. Bring your friends and enjoy a great drinking experience.

Great food, great service, fun vibe. We came here for our 30th anniversary, and they treated us really well (including a fun free dessert with "Happy Anniversary!" written in on the plate in chocolate).

We went to Searsucker for a fine dining experience based upon the reputation of the chef. While the food was decent, some very good and some spotty, the atmosphere was totally inappropriate if you intend to have a pleasant evening with friends. From the moment...More

Have come here before and always enjoy the food. Was sad they decided to stop making the cheesy bread knots. The service is always spot on and we enjoy ordering a variety of plates to share.

Very nice establishment! Lovely greetings and service. The happy hour appetizers were not that great (squid & tuna)! However, the main meal was awesome (New York strip)! If you are into sharing, that seemed like the best option to enjoy all the menu has to...More

Searsucker, located in the historic Gaslamp District of Downtown San Diego, is a nationally recognized restaurant concept by Top Chef alum Brian Malarkey. Menus are both serious and fun, with creative twists on New American Classics for Weekend Brunch, Weekday Lunch, Dinner and Happy Hour. Dishes range from shared plates and small bites ideal for the whole table, to farm and ocean dishes that you’ll want to keep all to yourself.

Searsucker embodies the social dining experience by encouraging guests to come early and stay late. Inspired by the simplicity, relaxed and feel-good vibe of the seersucker fabric, Chef Brian Malarkey created a space that invites patrons to relax and enjoy. The airy design features a glass enclosed kitchen, a lounge space with comfortable seating and a lively bar area. Patrons can watch the action, chat without boundaries and feel as if they’re at a friend’s dinner party rather than a restaurant.
