this place is now closed down. they cut the price in half, along with the size of the empanada. I think this was their downfall. Oh well, onto the next restaurant.

The BEST empanadas we've ever had! Such an interesting variety too. My husband loved the Sunny Goat while I thought the Spinach was the best.

Fun times. The food was great. A wonderful treat for a snack. The pastry and flaky and the steak and cheese cooked well. Don't miss this while you are walking around the town.

Imagine my surprise when I walk into this shop looking for a chocolate croissant (the signage says pastries) I find interesting flavors of empanadas. Beef, Pork and Chicken are nowhere,it's philly cheesesteak, kicken chicken and caprese empanadas. Nutella and bananas! The empanadas themselvs are delicious but the sauces are amazing! I didn't have a trip to san diego planned for... More

Been here a few times, the empanadas are top notch! Highly recommend the Philly cheese steak empanada. The fine print: Every time I have been here, the service sucks, could be the lady having a bad year, none the less, a smile would be nice once in a while. That being said, I will back, won't let crappy tude be... More

When we travel to the east or west from the Midwest we like to eat good empanadas. Papa Luna's definitely fit the bill and has three locations. The average empanada is $4 and two empanadas is just about right.

They are quick. They are hot. The fillings were okay, but not as much flavor as I expected or wanted. The place needs a thorough cleaning. Good location.

After visiting Papa Luna's I am now convinced that empanadas with unique, tasty fillings are the next big thing in food. Just the right size for a quick lunch or snack. Hot and tasty with a variety of choices, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Price was very reasonable. We tried a variety of empandas, but my two favorites were the Sunny Goat... More

My wife and I love empanadas. Tried this place when it opened on Colombia in downtown SD. The empanadas are great. And they are baked, not fried. I had jamon y queso and the beef empanadas. My wife had the corn and the vegetarian empanadas. For dessert we split a dulce con leche and apples empanadas. Awesome. Fresh and hot.... More

Stopped by here while cruising around with the family. We weren't starving but wanted a tasty snack. This place was perfect and was great finger food for our toddlers. I wanted a chicken one and they had a thai chicken empanada. I thought that was so neat and it was very tasty. The house salad was also nice, overflowing with... More
