Elegant atmosphere... and delicious cuisine. Reasonably priced. I could go on about the food and wine (worthy of praise) but this time -- I want to compliment the excellent staff above all. Here is why: I was there with friends for a late dinner. At the end of the evening, our group said our goodbyes-- and as they left, my... More

We have been travelling through parts of the US for the last two weeks. On our last night in the US for this trip we really wanted a great pizza. We asked the lovely breakfast staff at the Best Western Island Palms and Robyn (hope the spelling is correct) said we should try the Venetian. No more to the story... More

It's a nice restaurant, and thus most dress business casually with a polo or dress. However, there isn't a "dress code" and hence their were some who dressed like bums. Long wait and also heavy prices for pretty good food caused this spot to be rated only a 4 in my eyes. Pizza is decent, as is the pasta.

The food is amazing, the service is impeccable. This is a wonderful location for a date night, family gatherings or even a business dinner. The portions are great. I make it a point to eat here every time I am in San Diego.

Came here on Friday for date night with my boyfriend. I had the calamari piccata & he had the clam & scallop linguine with cream sauce. First the service was GREAT! Some of the best service I had in SD. I forget our servers name but she was a cute little blonde girl who was wonderful. And it was impressive... More

We lived nearby during surgical residency 2o years ago, and brought our pre-teens to this restaurant regularly for a night out. Our kids learned restaurant manners here... We loved the friendly service, reasonable family-friendly prices, and neighborhood atmosphere. We returned last week and made a point to return for dinner. While there have been some very appropriate and expansive renovations,... More

The Venetian’s award-winning Italian cuisine (including what critics call some of San Diego’s best pizza), relaxed setting and casual atmosphere have earned generations of fans since Vince Giacalone first welcomed customers in 1965. Sons Joey and Frank proudly continue their family traditions, making sausage, soups and sauces from scratch and drawing a devoted, all-ages clientele. Highlights of the menu include bruschetta, seafood pastas, chicken and veal piccata, and thick- or thin-crust pizzas with either traditional or trendy toppings. Located in Point Loma, The Venetian’s friendly service and “Cheers” style vibe make it a favorite destination for date night, happy hour, dinner with friends or family celebrations. Seating includes the lively bar and patio (great for families and larger parties); comfy booths and banquettes; and a private wine cellar that can be reserved for parties of up to 16. Dinner nightly; lunch Monday-Friday; Sunday brunch; full bar.
