I took my wife out to lunch before a movie and we had great BBQ. This is not the Texas, slice-the-meat-in-front-of-you-by-the-pound BBQ, but still, it has a very nice flavor and generous portions which are reasonable priced. We had the rib tickler plate ($7.99) and...More

A wonderful restaurant with outstanding fare. You can't go wrong with anything you order. It has a full-service bar. The only downside is the long wait to get in.

Great food, quick service; I was back in my car in minutes after ordering, heading home for a wonderful meal. Great Friday-night-don't-feel-like-cooking-meal!

Absolutely delicious food. Atmosphere is casual too funky. The food is served quickly and very tasty. The only downside is that you will come out smelling barbecue smoke. It will be time to wash all your clothes.

The Best BBQ in town. It is worth waiting in line. Recommend Beefy Rib Dinners includes 2 small sides or 1 small side. Ribs were served in large portions and finger licking tasty. 돼지고기 베이비백 보다는 쇠고기 갈비를 추천합니다. 디너로 주문하면 사이드 포함이라 둘이 배불리...More

I know that my office did have a catering order delivered. I don't know about individual orders. The website would have the answer.

Yes, you can request sauce on the side! Extra is better!

I've been to the Sports Arena and Santee locations. The San Marcos is a new one for me. They are all worth going too!

Description
For the past 17 years, BBQ lovers across San Diego County have turned to restaurateur Phil Pace to satisfy a singular craving: mesquite-grilled baby back ribs, beef ribs, chicken and sandwiches. Serving thousands of customers a day from a diverse clientele of skateboarders to Bentleys, Phil has built his foundation on consistency, quality, freshness, and friendly service. "We thrive on providing each guest with the 'Phil's Experience', which basically comes down to organized chaos," laughs owner Phil Pace. "The biggest reason behind our success is our loyal customers who have supported us and waited in line for a taste of BBQ for the past fifteen years. "Since opening its doors in San Diego in 1998, Phil's BBQ has served over one million pounds of BBQ sauce (enough to fill Shamu's tank).
