The smell remind me to my childhood. After the first bit I was in my mind in Europe. I could taste the product from an bakery artist

Oh the choices! Cases the dessert display and wanted one of everything, especially the macaroons. Just beautiful! Lunch menu is great. Could have a better wine and beer selection, but a wonderful place and location. Outdoor seating is very nice.

It's a real bakery - and a fine one. The bread is great: many types, tastes and textures. So if you're jones-ing for real bread (rather than what comes in plastic bags) this is your place. Thankfully, you can find the bread around town at various specialty grocery stores so don't despair if traffic is a headache. But the cafe... More

Bread & Cie has been here for decades, and continues to be the best around. The bread is perhaps the biggest draw, offering loaves of walnut raisin, ciabatta, fig & anise, country leaving, etc. The pastries are to die for, and their coffee drinks excellent. In addition, they offer breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, quiches, etc. and, they provide free parking... More

We loved this bakery in the trendy Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego. We stayed at a B&B nearby and walked to Bread & CIE early each morning for coffee and pastry. The quiche was fresh and creamy and the chocolate croissant with almond paste was my guilty pleasure. Staff is pleasant, quick and helpful and the outdoor seating was nice... More

I had noticed in several restaurants and even in a grocery store signs that said "baked goods from Bread and Cie". So when I happened upon this bakery of course I had to go in. There were many types of freshly baked bread available as well as lots of pastries. From the menu you could order soup, sandwiches, etc. We had... More

The main reason I visited this morning was to try the almond croissant and check out their sandwich menu. The almond croissant wasn't as pretty as some of the others I have had but the taste and texture makes up for it. My first bite was slightly disappointing. I must have ate the only part that didn't have the almond... More
