This place is an experience. It hits the spot. A young girl behind us said the food was "happy". To be sure, the brothers who run the place are so kind and the art is inspiring. If you are interested in eating vegan or vegetarian, you'll find plenty, all clearly labeled. The buffet will fill up the heartiest of appetites.... More

How can you resist eating a home cooked family meal of Mid-Eastern favorites amidst art work? Although Fairouz is nestled in a non-descript strip mall on Midway, you're immediately welcomed by tantalizing aromas from the long buffet in the entry dining area. Mama is the chef, daughter or dad is the greeter/waiter, and Uncle Al is the artist. What is... More

We came here by chance looking for hala restaurant in San Diego. It was nice tine in this restaurant with very welcome and generous service from all staff and owner of restaurant. Halal food and good choice for vegan and vegetarian too. It is Palestine restaurant with beautiful art gallery.

This place has been around for over 30 years serving Middle Eastern and Greek foods. I have never been disappointed here. I order off the menu, but they always have a buffet going. It has a very nice Art gallery of the owners work.

The only disadvantage of this neighborhood restaurant is it's location on a busy street and in a small strip mall. Thus, the only view is of parked cars in small spaces. But inside you step into another world of warm pita bread and delicious home cooked Mid-east food served buffet style ($13.95 for lunch) or from the menu (try the... More

This neighborhood favorite of mine is tucked away in a strip mall that's nestled against the larger Target/Ralph/Gap/Home Depot complex. But don't let the small parking lot and tight spaces deter you from a visual and gartronomic delight. Alnashashibi and family cooks up a Mediterranean buffet of tasty dishes that fits both vegan and meat eaters; a regular menu is... More

Anyone who likes Middle Eastern food needs to come to Fairouz. The only reason I didn't rate this a 5 star is it homey rather than white tablecloth. If you are starved, the all you can eat buffet is amazing. For those with a normal appetite, the lemon chicken soup, hummus and chicken tajeen will make your belly very happy.... More

I always come at lunchtime and have the lunch buffet. Food is very good and healthy. Owner is a real character, always encouraging you to eat more. Owner's brother is an artist. His drawings are part of the restaurant's decoration. If you are familiar with middle eastern food, or unfamiliar - You would love it. 3 of us paid (with... More

Quality food and lots and lots of variety. Not cheap at $16 for buffet but you will be happy you came. Favorites include gyro, rice, avogolemno soup, pickled cabbage, pickled turnips, rosemary water dessert. Yum. Awesome photos of horses in restroom lol.

Where to begin is the challenge here ... what to praise first is the issue ... but let's give it a shot: 1- Service with heart 2- Food from the soul 3- Simplicity that humbles the meek Fairouz hits the note on everything a home grown restaurant should be. This is Middle Eastern, with the right touch of the old... More
