We were at the Melting Pot for a Friday evening dinner. The decor is very nice, the booths very comfortable. Our server was Janet, a trainee assisted by Nick. Both were extremely friendly and attentive, stopping by several times to make sure things were satisfactory. We chose the 4-course dinners and it really was just too much. It included the... More

Attracted by Happy Hour 50 % off and remembering doing fondue years ago at home. Enjoyed Wisconsin beer cheese with bread bites, apple pieces, broccoli, etc. Desert was Chocolate nut with strawberries, brownie, cookie bites, marshmallow pieces, etc. yum, yum! Atmosphere was awesome in historic building that houses the Gas LampPlaza Hotel, ornate ceilings and all. Sat at the bar... More

Enjoyed the Bacon & Jalapeno, Quatrro Fromagio and Alpine Fondues, along with a Cesear Salad. Nice flavors, 50% less for happy hour. Service was friendly and included a sunset, rooftop tour of the San Diego skyline.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner at the melting pot. The service was good and they brought out a nice dessert for my sister for her birthday. I have no complaints about the food. The salads and platter we ordered were top notch. My only complaint is the price. You are obliged to order quantities per person, rather than order... More

Booked a reservation for New Years Eve and was very nice. Had a bit of a secluded booth but that added to the romantic evening as my wife and I enjoyed champagne and their special New Years Eve menu. It is fun to cook your own food and we were not rushed, a great place for a special occasion.

Great experience to be had at the San Diego Melting Pot with one or more close friends and love ones. Good food that you enjoy to your liking with help from great servers to guide you in the art of fondue.

Melting Pot is located downtown and offers 2 stories. Classic table set up and menu. Restaurant was not as private as other melting pots we have been too. Also, parking can be difficult to find since it is located downtown. Would have preferred a more romantic table away from the window with constant motion outside.

We've been here twice now with friends and I have found this place to be a fun dinning experience both times. If you are unfamiliar, basically you are cooking/dipping you own food in a little pot in the middle of the table. We did the 4 course experience both times and selected the classic alpine cheese for the starter which... More

I went to the restaurant to celebrate my wife´s birthday and we had some luck because was during the Restaurant Week, where they offer a special menu with a better price. We paid $ 30 per person to eat a individual cheese fondue, a small salad and a protein fondue. It was amazing. At the end we order an extra... More

We entered just as they opened and had to wait a good 5-10 mins before they acknowledged us but once they did it was great service as usual. We went for Happy Hour and one would think you are getting the "deals" but in San Diego everything is doubled already so you are paying normal prices. That's fine b/c the... More
