The environment is fantastic. It's more than a restaurant, it's like a small village. The restaurant is open air surrounded by many small shops. The service was great. There was live music next to the eating area. The food was alright. It is a good place for anyone who likes Mexican.

When I get there the pace was packed but the waiting was only 10 min before we got our table. Service was amazing and really friendly, especially with our 2-year-old daughter. Me and my wife ordered fajitas where the skirt steak and the flour tortillas were amazing but, they fell short on the Mexican rice and the beans. Nothing margaritas... More

My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant for many years on our visits to San Diego. We have never been disappointed in the service, menu selection or food quality and taste. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food.

We have been to Casa de Reyes many times but this was the first time we tried it for breakfast. It was very good. We were there just after it opened. Normally I wouldn't have a Margarita for breakfast but the Classic is more orange based so it made a great morning addition. Our server, "Diana" recommended the Mexican Hash.... More

We chose this restaurant based upon recent TripAdvisor reviews. Our experience was in a word, "Meh." The service was friendly, we were seated in a heated outdoor area. That part was pleasant. The drink menu was on the high side. The food was not all that notable. This was our first visit to Old Town San Diego, I was expecting... More

Great outside dinning area surrounded by old western buildings that housed little shops. Food was great at reasonable prices. The burritos are huge. Servers were attentive and the kitchen was quick with the food. The margaritas looked great.

This is an amazing restaurant in the middle of old town. The seating is outside with heaters at night to keep you cozy. We tried burritos, quesadillas, and enchiladas. The seafood enchiladas were yummy! The waitstaff were very well trained and always there when you needed anything. Great food and staff!!

The restaurant is conveniently located adjacent to the historical Old Town State Park. It has a very expansive patio seating. The atmosphere is relaxing and yet entertaining. The food is not exactly authentic (I have been to Mexico, beyond the tourist areas, many times) but still good nonetheless. Service is great.

The atmosphere at this restaurant can't be beat - in the middle of Old Town San Diego. Very fun and festive. Food is great, though I've had better Mexican food. Still it's very worth going. It is pricey. I got the fajitas and could only eat half of it. I would go back.

On a cool night we ventured back. We have been coming to the restaurant for years and love it. Both my wife and I decided to vary from the norm and try something new. Both of our meal were excellent and the margarita was excellent. We topped our meal off we a shared flan.

Thank Leroy J

Casa de Reyes offers awarding winning, world-class Mexican comfort food! Located within Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, you’ll enjoy traditional Mexican dining in a lush garden courtyard. There’s also free live entertainment, strolling mariachis, folklórico dancing, year-round events, and more! Casa de Reyes is located on the site of an adobe home built in 1823, one of the first adobe homes in San Diego. Our restaurant is named in honor of one of the home’s first owners, Doña Maria de los Reyes Ybañez de Dominguez. Doña Maria made her small, humble adobe a comfortable and welcoming home for friends and guests, and so do we.
