We eat here every time we are in San Diego and it never fails to impress. I always ask the waitstaff about their favorite items on the menu--this time she suggested the scallops and WOW. So impressed with their quality. Cocktails were also quite tasty. The only bummer was our table--clearly an afterthought seating addition even though we had a... More

Dined here with a group of friends and the food was spectacular. We ordered a la carte and shared the dishes between us. Everything we ate was amazing. We visited at 8.30pm on a Sunday evening and it was busy and noisy i.e. the restaurant was full! Ensure you make a reservation well in advance or you may miss out... More

Well worth visiting - our server was very helpful and informative but not pushy. Our meal was excellent as well as the drinks. The only downside was our first table was cold so we managed to move to a warmer area. The restrooms are in the lobby area of the Hard Rock hotel and the night we visited, it was... More

Atmosphere was good, service was friendly and on time. We were visiting from London and thought we would give this a try. The tasting menu was lovely...not too heavy, a real mouth tingling, yummy experience. Except for the tempura prawns which is a bit too heavy and the taste a bit redundant, everything else was lovely. Although it seems like... More

Service was great, food was great like in every single nobu or matsuhisa (except Mykonos) yellowtail with ponzu is amazing, rock shrimp and rock shrimp cut rolls are top notch, beef tenderloin is great, edamames are great, lobster salad is very very good, and the place is well decorated. Good place.

Luxury sushi. Good but expensive. Located within the Hard Rock Hotel. Excellent service and interesting to sit in the bar and see the cooks work.

I can find no fault with the quality of the food, the preparation, sevice, tastes or wines of Nobu. A wonder of work in the kitchen, the chef's work and the staff. And of course a wine list of depth and width. But perhaps I am an old curmudgeon when I criticize a dining room in which a few patrons... More

Expensive Japanese cuisine, this Nobu is much like the others in the chain. Decent but not great sake selection, sushi is fresh but not the best you'll find in San Diego, but the overall selection and some specialties like the Uni Tempura make it worth a dinner once or twice a year.

Cannot comment on the food, but since I have eaten at Nobu LA and Nobu Malibu I am sure it is up to Nobu standards. The cocktails are great and the staff is amazing, which really makes this a go to stop when we're in SD.

We had a quick lunch of delicious tempura whole green peppers, good salmon and yellowtail sashimi, and sushi rolls. Took less than an hour and about $45/ person for medium sized meal without drinks. Very convenient location across the street from the San Diego Convention Center.
