I was considering giving it a 4 but there were a couple of things that bothered me about this experience. The service was outstanding, however I noticed that my tortilla was dipped in oil before being warmed and when the meats were added there was a lot of oil floating around. The meat was good though. I also love the... More

Apparently, Tacos el Gordo is always crowded with several long lines that move fairly quickly. The tacos are delicious and they top them with lots of guacamole. You can also add pineapple and other condiments. They are small in size, so the five of us ordered about 20 tacos total. Drinks were tasty. Remember to tip the prep folks, they... More

Great authentic experience. It's a taco shop in San Diego near the border. I believe they originated from TJ. We ordered one of each of the tacos they offer and they were quite flavorful. Some were a bit salty. The fountain drinks they were were good as well. Parking can be quite limited.

Great Fish Tacos from a little stand right next to the beach. Great value from this little spot right off the water.

I had the boiled shrimp tacos with cilantro and onions. I was told I had to wait 5 minutes for it which must be a stage act since I was the only customer at the end of the day...but ok. Expensive (2 tacos for $9) but not short on big shrimp. I appreciate the simplicity.

This place is a must go. We went there after dinner (yes after dinner, because it was the last chance to go) and the place really deserves. Tacos are basically awesome and tasty here, with this mexican flavour so characteristic. Such a good tacos for really low prices are difficult to find.

It is hard to find good tacos and these were great. They have regular tacos with pork or beef. but if you like exotic like cabeza, tripas and lengua they are great.
