This place opens several years ago. The food is really great. Baby back are done perfectly. The corn pudding side dish can be eaten as dessert. The pit salad are BIG and you will be taking some home. The pulled pork is to die for. Prices are a little high but the quality is worth it go!

We recently tried this place on a recommendation and thought it to be pretty good/average. The ribs had great flavor but did not fall off the bone, like we expect from a BBQ joint. The side dishes we had were good/average. With all of that said, good BBQ is impossible to find in this part of the country and this... More

My wife and I both ordered the pulled beef sandwich. The sandwich was loaded with beef, even spilling out the sides of the large bun. BBQ sauce was really tasty. Price was in-line with most BBQ places. Order was up fast and counter staff were all friendly with please and thank you. I say that as "thank you" is a... More

OK BBQ. I had the two piece beef ribs with two sides and a soda and it was just shy of $20. A little pricey. The beef ribs were decent and had a decent amount of meat on them but I expected more for the price I was paying. The sides were good and filling. The mac n cheese is... More

I travel to this area frequently, and Bretts has become a regular stop! I love the rope sausage. The ribs were a little tough the last time I was there, but love the potato salad and corn pudding.

What can I say, this place embodies great classic BBQ, and should be your San Diego food choices. So enjoy an American Classic style of food here. Enjoy, Exploretraveler

We are visiting from Colorado and stopped here randomly on our way back from Legoland. The ribs and pulled pork were awesome! Smokey and not too fatty. You can tell they actually smoke all of their meats and not just bake them. The owner checked on us a few times and everyone was smiling and helpful! We will definitely return.

Most of the meats tasted like they had been sitting for awhile. The brisket tasted like roast beef. If you don't know BBQ then you probably won't care, but we won't be returning.
