We were attending the opera. I made reservations a month in advance. We had the prefix menu which had a nice variety. Our food was very good, no complaints. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The best part of the whole experience is that we were able to come back during the 32 minute intermission to eat dessert and... More

After a three year hiatus we booked ahead for a Prix-fixe dinner for two for the first intermission of Rusalka. The order was for Fig Salad/Branzino and Crab Cake/Slow Cooked Salmon. In particular I was intrigued by the Fig Salad but on the day of performance I was informed that a Chicory Salad was substituted for the Fig Salad. Arriving... More

Went with my sisters, niece and nephew for a special dinner before seeing the Opera. They really seem to have the whole experience down so you can have the best experience possible and still get to the show. Most importantly the food is delicious especially the caviar which I was happy to introduce to my niece and nephew. I also... More

AWESOME -- really enhanced our evening at Lincoln Center !! Dinner was fabulous, I had the lamb, perfectly cooked and presented. Dining staff were exceptional and desert during the intermission was ready for our arrival at our table. A perfect pre-opera experience!

Prior to enjoying the opera, we had dinner at the Grand Tier. Not being sure what to expect, we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely delicious and the menu is quite extensive; as is the wine list. Dessert was served during the intermission and you simply return to the table at which you ate dinner. The salmon was... More

Dined at the Grand Tier for the first time in a year and before our performance of the Barber of Seville. The restaurant does a wonderful job of timing courses, without rushing, and ensures you get to your seats on time. Our favorite thing is having desserts at our table at intermission. The menu is limited but all of the... More

The Grand Tier restaurant at the Metropolitan Opera was a wonderful treat. The prix fixe menu had great selections and the efficient, friendly service made for a pleasant pre-opera experience. My husband selected crab cakes and stuffed bronzino for his first two courses. The crab cakes were "the best I've ever had" - and we have them regularly living on... More

We have attended the opera for years and have always been curious about eating in the restaurant on the mezzanine. We invited our friends to celebrate their birthdays. Dining beneath the amazing height of the ceiling in this landmark building might have been impressive enough, particularly for tourists who might love the building but not opera, but the whole experience... Brunch at the Grand Tier is a great experience for meeting with friends and significants and with a reasonable price for the prix fixe meal you can also manage your budget while impressing your company. I took my wife for our anniversary and while a fussy eater she was very satisfied with the menu and the quality. The view from... More

The Grand Tier Restaurant in the Metropolitan Opera house at Lincoln Center offers a delightful brunch on Sunday mornings. The prix fixe brunch is $39. It offers unlimited Bellini cocktails in lieu of the standard, hackned mimosas served elsewhere. The menu offers a wide variety of brunch dishes to meet every taste. It is an excellent deal for $39. If... More
