This is a must stop every time my family visits Chinatown. We ate here two times in one week for our visit this March. You could easily walk right by this place. It is on a side street and its only sign simply reads "Fried Dumpling". When you go inside there is a small cooking area and 4 stools and... More

Came here after reading the good reviews on TripAdvisor and was not disappointed. The dumplings are delicious and served with no frills on a paper plate, by a no nonsense woman behind the counter. Definitely recommend coming here if you can.

Read about Fried Dumpling on Tripadvisor before my trip to NYC in December. The dumplings are as freshly made as you can get them. Saying that they're good is not saying enough about them. Delicious, delicious, delicious. Our party of four people ate two orders each.

A tiny store, hidden in the corners of Chinatown, but really good option for cheap Dumplings. Few options, but very good and tasty...and helps to save you a lot of bucks. US$1,25, for 5 dumplings, freshly made...a really good value for short budget travelers.

This place was shown to me during a walking tour, but I returned the next day to get some more dumplings. The lady in charge doesn't speak much English, but does quickly serving up some tasty food. Even the cops come here.

Busy place with a stern little Chinese lady who knows she is in charge. The dumplings are tasty little delights that come on a plastic plate. Straight in and out and go and sit in park to eat them. If you want a bit of excitement upset the old Chinese lady...

This is an awesome stop to make if you go to China Town! The dumplings are super cheap, like 5 for 1$, and you can get very full from them. They seemed very fresh and are very fast. There is very little waiting.

Great food, got like 12 dumplings, cup of soup and waters for $7. Should have been $5.50, so not too terrible. Lady had argument with customer while we ate as she overcharged her by $12. Listened to about three others order and get charged about double for their orders.

I found this place on the NYC foodguys vlog and I was not disappointed. My 3 friends and I all got a plate of 6 dumplings each for $2!!! For such a simple dish, they have perfected it! We were all craving them the rest of the holiday and I wish we had gone back. If you're looking for a... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
