Excuse the alliteration but this place has had a great reputations for decades and I've had some great memories (many I forget - thanks to photos I have recall after sampling many rum-based cocktails). Some say it's pricey (it's Manhattan) some say the staff is rude (sorry to hear that but I've never witnessed anything like that on my dozen... More

Came here because it is close to Times Square and it was literally freezing outside. The bartenders were fun, NY style guys. They had attitudes that were tough and funny, made great drinks and the waitress was fantastic! We had a good time and felt like we got our $'S worth.

The drinks were pretty good, we enjoyed them. However it wasn't a very nice atmosphere in there. It was really dark, busy, loud, really small and cramped. The place smelt like stale rum. If those drinks were served elsewhere it would have been brilliant. but overall a disappointment.

I feel bad going for only 2 stars as the bar itself was good. Cocktails were great but the man on the door was the rudest person I have ever come across. So bad I felt sick to my stomach I was that upset. Ruined our night in New York. As we tried to enter the bar he sidled out... More

Always a pleasure to visit! We frequent the Hotel Edison often and we love this little gem! Live music, great drinks, and the bartenders are top notch!

I stayed in the Edison Hotel in early February 2017 and this bar/pub is attached to the hotel, albeit as a separate establishment. The general public can access the bar from the street (47th) or from the elevator lobby as a resident of the hotel. We visited on 2 separate nights and jazz entertainment was provided. A great night's 'craic'... More

Even by New York Standards this place is over priced. The Beer and wine selections were the poorest we were offered and the most expensive.

Fantastic location just if Times Square in the theatre district and part of the Edison hotel which we stayed! This is a stereotypical NY bar and we loved it! It's always busy and often has music being played, it is expensive I paid $26 for a wine and a whiskey! It's worth it for the great atmosphere and to be... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
