Title says it all. Want to be able to plan a trip here but no reservations allowed. Not an overwhelming issue as the crispy rice and tuna ,makes up for any deficiencies. Seriously tasty.

I met a friend here for lunch, it was very busy, we were seated initially at the end of a long banquette with many talkative customers and I could see we'd have trouble hearing one another over the din so I asked if we could move to the unoccupied back section which was quiet and empty. The waitress was hesitant... More

You can never beat fresh and tasty sushi and sashimi. Even better if the dinners only runs $27 or $29! Add the clever presentation - sashimi in a huge bowl of ice with big leaf. Shishito peppers hit the spot, along with the agedashi tofu to start. Sashimi/Sushi combo is filling with large slices or fish and tasty. Sashimi ditto.... More

Dropped in on Momoya by chance after our daughter had completed the New York City Marathon (3:48 time) on a wonderful fall day. Lunch time is to 4:30 pm. My wife had the udon noodle soup with breaded dipped vegetables; I had the breaded dipped vegetables and shrimp, light and delicious; My daughter a full plate of sushi. A fine... More

The restaurant has a modern style. It is not that small like others in Amsterdam Avenue. The wall consists of small wood piece in different size. It looks like a Yenga game. The restaurant was also not that noisy. We had sushi. Excellent! There are many sushi places in the neighborhood, but I can hardly imagine that there is a... More

Enjoyed Momoya with friends... Clean, airy restaurant... Fresh sushi, well prepared and creatively presented... Friendly and professional staff... Great experience. This sushi restaurant is just a few doors down from one of my favorite sushi spots on the upper west side... I'm surprised Momoya took the risk to open a restaurant on the same block... Definitely a battle of the... More

Fresh food that looks and tastes great. Generous portions at reasonable prices. "A" sanitation rating, and I can see why. I sat at the sushi bar and if a waiter noticed something out of place on the dish, he pointed to it and one of the chefs would fix it with his gloved hand (which is the right way to... More

I've been sever times and the seafood has been always fresh and well made. Atte attention to details, great ambiance and the best wine list of all the similar sushi I've visited in the island.

I was convinced to try this place due to good ratings I saw it received. I ordered out and my order was ready pretty soon after I arrived. While I was waiting I noticed the place looked quite nice, with clean décor and some space between tables. The people I encountered were nice and courteous. The sushi itself wasn't bad... More

Fish is amazing, so tasty. It's very good and price is correct for the quantity. You can discover new type of raw fish
