We were in town and locals suggested we meet here for dinner. It is Peruvian fare and it was nothing short of exceptional! I was a little worried as we had our 10 year old daughter along - she loved the fries and hot dog appetizer - I can not recall the Peruvian name for the dish. Also our other... More

Had dinner here with my family. Lovely ambience and the food was good. Service was okay. We ordered multiple dishes and were able to share. Good portion sizes. Would definitely recommend for family dining.

Fairly good food, reasonable prices (calamari appetizer was amazing). Unique and tasty cocktails. Seems as though our party was forgotten about while waiting to be seated, but once seated service was prompt and friendly.

This small Peruvian restaurant is always full with people; the crowd proves that it is good value for the money. The restaurant is simple and modest but the food is good and tasty.

While mom was receiving chemo from nyu langome which is across the street my aunt an I decided to gave lunch at pio pio. It was our first time. The place was small and gets busy and crowded fast. We ordered the lunch quarter chicken with a side of sweet plantain. We were hungry so the food tasted good to... More

Great food and quick service. The Mom's Chicken special was enough to feed 3-4 people. My only complaint is you are sitting on top of each of the patrons at the tables next to you. We enjoyed speaking with the table next to us and they ordered the same meal on our recommendation. Try the sangria for an added bonus.

Everything was wonderfully tasty and I was super pleased with my choices (sangria, ceviche mixto and pollo). The atmosphere is very warm and cozy. The service was great too.

Always a great experience at pio pio! A taste of home. Delicious cervesas del Peru and pollo al la brasa. No other rotisserie does it justice.

Amazing find. This little Peruvian joint has excellent food and great service. We had the ceviche - large portion, tender chunks of fish, marinated just right - bargain at $14. Chicken, red beans and avocado salad - all delicious. Total check $45 for two, outstanding value. Highly recommended.

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
