The beef noodles were good, service attentive. An average chinese restaurant in a busy city. Location fairly central, not far from Bryant Park

Ducked in here on New Year's Even for some quick takeout. Had our food in 10 minutes and it was hot, fresh, and very tasty. Worth checking out if you're in Midtown and have a Chinese craving.

This is authentic Szechuan food, as good as it gets. I have been here many times over the last 5 years, the quality is consistent. The service and venue are good, with no frills. I always have to have the Kung Pao Chicken (one of the few cases where this is actually edible, outside of China) and the sautéed string... More

While in NYC we were craving some authentic Chinese food. We were window shopping some places but we found this place via a Google search and it was close by. We were getting hungry so we decided to just call it and go there and boy are we glad we did. I like to consider myself an avid Chinese food... More

We ate on Christmas Day for a late lunch. Based upon the majority of the clientel, this is an authentic Chinese restaurant. The waiting area was tight but we were seated after a few minutes. The restaurant was very busy and had several parties awating seating. Our order was taken promptly and our meal was delivered promptly, although our plates... More

The place serves very good Sze Chuan dishes and can be quite crowded during the regular meal hours. The majority of the appetizers are quite good but there are couple of main dishes, despite their high price tag that might make you think they are worth trying, should definitely be avoided, like the lamb with cumin was so heavily breaded... Duck off the street and into this restaurant, and you can eat almost as if you were in China. They do Szechuan food very, very well. Some favorites include the (huge) bowl of fish, cellophane noodles, and Napa cabbage in chili oil; chongquing chicken, lamb with cumin, and an array of cold Szechuan delicacies. A superb cuisine done superbly

If you want to experience authentic Szechuan without having to go far from Midtown, look no further. Hidden near Bryant Park, is an magic wok. The restaurant is quaint, intimate, and very clean. The staff are very attentive and prompt. I got my food very fast, hot and I could tell, they used fresh ingredients. It would be my go... More

When the neighboring tables are ordering in Chinese, you've found a place locals like. Extensive menu. I wish I had more knowledge or advice on picking good choices, but what I ordered was excellent. Because this place was authentic, the decor was nonexistent, and the service efficient but brusque. Quite enjoyable.

Thank Peter B

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
