New years eve when we couldn't go to times square where we booked TSQ restaurant to watch the ball drop due to our toddler, we rocked up to the door step of this Indian restaurant. Food was great. Staff were welcoming. Even though our toddler made a big mess, they were not fussed about it. Excellent customer service.

This was not our first visit to Nirvana. The terrific food, good service, and reasonable prices for the quality bring us back whenever we're in the neighborhood. Downstairs is noisy, but upstairs is quieter and calmer. The steps are steep, and the rest rooms are in the basement, but it's worth those minor inconveniences for the quality and value. Everything... More

Food and service were excellent! Second time there and would go again, but the stairs are dangerous and dark for seniors. I'm not sure if there is an elevator or if they will serve you on the first floor. You still have to descend a few stairs to enter the restaurant. If you can handle the stairs, IT'S THE BEST... This restaurant had a really great, peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that really suited its name, haha. The food was excellent, we had raj kachori, lacha paratha, vegetable biryani, lemon rice, and chana masala. We had wayyy too much food for two people. The raj kachori was probably my favorite, it was ridiculously good. I definitely recommend this place!

We had a Team dinner on 12/12. Selected this because of it convenient location near Grand Central. While entrance and set up is moderate, food was liked by all team members who were visiting from different countries. For starter, Samosa and Paneer was liked by all. I am vegetarian and liked Gobi-Aloo and Palak-Paneer. Serving Size was good to be... More

Upstairs dining room; high on ambiance for and Indian restaurant. The prices and preparation are on the more upscale side; everything I had was not only nicely presented, but the portions were ample and beautifully prepared; all my senses were on alert. Very friendly wait staff. I will most definitely eat here again on my next trip.

One of the finest Indian restaurants in Midtown Manhattan, Nirvana offers a unique and delectable Indian dining experience. Just a short walk from Grant Central, Nirvana frequently welcomes United Nations dignitaries and other high-profile clientele. Nirvana has a sleek, stylish interior design, highlighted by the exceptional Skylight Gallery Dining Room on the 2nd floor. The exposed brick walls and exotic aromas of Indian cuisine easily inspire a romantic dining atmosphere. The warm and welcoming lounge is a comfortable area in which to enjoy a pre or post-dinner drink from the bar, whilst relaxing in the enticing leather couches by the fireplace. Classic Indian dishes such as Chicken Tikka Masala are available, alongside the chef's irresistible signature creations. These include the Rabbit Fiesta - a hearty Rabbit Stew with chilli, peas and chutney - as well as light Vegetable Samosas and Chicken Stir Fry.

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
