A very welcoming, popular place with a varied menu. The specials are the thing to have: the night we were there the tekkadon was just outstanding, really fresh and delicious. Not so for the other sushi and rolls, which are just so-so. Still, a nice place and good for a group and for kids too.

On the recommendation of the Andaz Wall Street, around the corner, I took a short walk to the local Japanese Haru for a late dinner. The food was fresh. The service was good. The plate of sashimi with a little sushi was all I needed. Very enjoyable

We might have ordered not their specialization (sushi) but our tempura and chicken katsu were out of question

If you are downtown and want to be treated like royalty as well as eat like a king, then you must try Haru. The atmosphere is great, the service awesome and the food is out of this world.

This Haru is much different from the one I grew accustomed to when I worked midtown. The vibe of the restaurant is aiming for trendy and it doesn't have the traditional feel of its sister location. The food is okay but the sushi isn't as fresh as I had hoped it would be. It's a nice escape for lunch and... More

Oh and not cheap. Oh and the service can be sluggish. The food is consistent and reliably good. The menu has interesting little gems like the sushito peppers. For a restaurant smack dab in a business district (and priced accordingly) though, the service isn't as snappy as it should be.

Food and service was fine but was misled about whether I could use my Haru gift certificate. Upon being seated on the 14th of June around 1:30 P.M., I gave the waitress, Annie, the Haru gift certificates to see whether my guest and I could pay for our meals with the certificates separately. Annie checked with management and we were... More

I've been here a few times (I was staying at the Andaz Wall Street which is literally right next to Haru). The food is fresh, modern, but it's definitely American Japanese so if you're looking for authentic Japanese food, you'll be disappointed. It's a little pricey but I was in NY for work and craved Asian food so this was... More

The sushi and sashimi is outstanding !!! They also serve other Japonese food and have a very good collection of Sakes and Japonese whiskies. It is a pretty large restaurant with an upstairs terrace, which is a little austere but the food makes up for the look of the dining place.
