i went to mr chow last night for dinner to celebrate my brother's birthday (there were 6 of us). let me preface this review by saying that i live close to the city and have eaten in many upscale establishments before. i know that NYC is expensive for dining, but when dining in these places, you hope to get what... Had the most unbelievable time here, the food the staff, and Managment are all aces!! Started with the lettuce wraps, chicken satay, and dumplings fantastic. Now the show stopper was the Peking Duck, the chef came out and carved table side. The taste and presentation just blew us away. Thank you to the amazing manager "Chubby" for making sure we... More

An Asian friend took me here to celebrate Chinese New Year. The food was quite good but the prices were quite expensive. We feasted on Peking Duck which was exceedingly expensive. This restaurant is part of a chain with branches all over the world. If someone else is picking up the check I would recommend it but if you are... More

This is one of the few restaurants that we offten goes when we visit New York. We love to eat Chinese food, and Mr Chow is best of this tipe of food. You must try glazed shrimps, green pasta , crispy beef with best sauce ever. The service was very pleasant like always.

the staff, especially the bartender was thoroughly rude to my younger guests while they waited for us at the bar. Obviously, because they couldn't afford more that one $20.00 dollar cocktails. He however became very nice after i tipped him and brought my bar tab up to $235 after finally sitting, we were bombarded by waitstaff telling us we had... More

This place has very good food and even better ambiance. The service was impeccable and we were treated like kings. Of course the prices are on the high end with main courses ranging from $39-$79. And drinks from $15-$30, but the experience is well worth the price. We had 2 starters and both the salt/pepper prawns and lettuce wraps were... More

All of the Mr Chow restaurants are a treat. Be ready to share your food family style. Do not forget the green shrimp, seaweed fish, peanut chicken, and Peking Duck. Ambiance is loud and fun.

Food is ok but the service is very bad (examples: they don't explain you what they brought to the table, the waiters move chairs over people's heads) and the place is pretty expensive (approx $250 pp). However the episode I found more annoying is that when you arrive they offer you a glass of champagne: well that glass costs approx... More

Finally had dinner at Mr. Chows in TriBeca last night. Boy, was I disappointed all the way around. The noise level was beyond any restaurant that I have ever experienced. It was so noisy, and we were only a party of two, that I couldn't hear anything that my dinner companion said. I had a headache when I left and... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
