Stopped at this place late for some drinks. When we got here, we were quickly told that the kitchen was closed and we could not order food. After we got our drinks, the server came back to tell us we could order food. Seemed strange but we took it up since we were all quite famished after walking the Brooklyn... More

Found it walking through town on the way to Battery Park, aimed for it on the way back. Beers galore, fantastic menu and the staff, especially the Polish girl behind the bar (hardly a hint of Polish, thought she was from Brooklyn), were brilliant. As a fussy veggie in New York I found the 'build your own' sandwich a God... More

...so basically what you want in a good pub. Lots of students, so this is not the place to go for a quiet chat. But if you want a really good selection of craft beers on tap, decent U.S. pub food, and good service -- the wait staff was great despite a busy evening -- this is the place for... More

A great place just to stop for a cool drink when it is 90F outside. The range of beers is very good as are the cocktails. Came back to the Village one evening and had dinner. It's good pub food, well priced and served with a smile. I'm sure there are other "pubs" in the Village that are as good... More

After 2 long flights and feeling really tired after arriving in NYC, this restaurant/bar was an oasis. We were well looked after by the staff. The beer choice was fantastic and the menu very good. The fries fantastic. Nice and cool on a hot day. Not expensive, great choice.

Had a lovely meal on the 29th August at this pub and we would give it full marks. It is not easy to find, but very glad we stumbled across it . Would definatly recommend it and not bad prices for the food.

Food was pretty good but the host/ waitress yelled at us and was pretty rude around 4 different times, demanding we order soon and reminding us after 2 minutes while we... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
