Went to this restaurant to have Gilauti kebabs which were made to perfection. The last time I had them was in Lucknow, India. Its one of those kebabs that is difficult to find in India too. I ended up eating Tandoori Murgh and on recommendation of the chef, Bhatti Da Murgh. Both were grilled to perfection and were juicy and... More

Best Indian food I've had since going to London. I had the goat curry, wife had chicken xacuti (tasted like a curry with coconut). We split garlic naan. All amazing. Dishes do not come with rice and they don't really tell you that so make sure to order a side of rice.

This place was very busy at lunch, as are most of the Indian restaurants on this stretch of Lexington Avenue, but my wife and I could see no steam tables through the outside windows, so we tried it, looking for waiter service and better than average food. The manager greeted us with "Meat or vegetable lunch special?" Well, with no... More

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. I had ordered a salmon dish and it was delicious! The mango lassi was amazing. The service was very good as well. It is a bit of a small restaurant but it's a nice spot.

I went there only once, but Bhatti Grill was awesome. I loved the food. Try their tandoor vegi platter, daal and paneer. All food was just amazing. Staff was good. I would rate it much higher than Dhaba which used to be my go to place. Highly recommended, amazing food - Tandood Veg Platter, daal, and paneer tikka masala. Will... More

Bhatti is an ultra-authentic north Indian restaurant in the heart of New York City that's refined yet affordable, upscale and still comfortable. Take your pick from a variety of kebabs and curries and watch as our master chefs work their magic at the Bhatti.

Bhatti Indian Grill is Indian food like you've never tasted-the flavors are unique, harmonious on the palate, a lot less of the overwhelming heat that's associated with Indian cuisine and something all together far more sophisticated. The recipes are rare finds even in India, where they're special treats sought out from master chefs. Bhatti is a real gourmand's restaurant-seriously made food with top-notch, educated service to do it justice.

Bhatti's mastermind Gaurav Anand had early opportunities to train and partner with India's master chefs and run a culinary empire in his home country. But a spark that ignited on his first trip to the Big Apple proved that Anand would have to act on even bigger aspirations. It was with this passion and his extensive knowledge of North Indian cuisine that he decided to open Bhatti Indian Grill in August 2009. Anand is also owner of the newly opened Moti Mahal Delux in Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Kebabs are the specialty of the house and they're anything but typical. The signature dish is Gilauti Kebab, which is steeped in history, originating in the province of Lucknow as a royal meal for a king who had lost his teeth in old age. Unwilling to let go of his dignity (and thereby his ability to eat meat), the king turned to the greatest kebab maker in the land, who devised a special marinade incorporating 160 spices resulting in a melt-in-your-mouth texture that didn't require any chewing. Anand is one of the few chefs to have learned the secrets to the recipe. The final product lives up to the legend- the rounds of lamb really do melt in your mouth like butter.
