We came in for dessert. It was delicious and exotic. I couldn’t remember the names of the items we had, but we all enjoyed them. We were in the bar side of the restaurant. The ambiance was nice too. I would like to try the...More

Went here for lunch before our Broadway show and it was excellent and perfectly timed! The lunch menu is the perfect way to enjoy the food, including desserts, without breaking the bank.

Fantastic food experience. Jean Georges is an experience and changed to New York food scenery. Many copied him but the original is still the best

As other reviewers here make clear, Jean George is no spring chicken. And some of its wonders no longer seem all that wonderful -- though they originated here, they've been adopted by restaurants across New York (and the US). Even so, I disagree with reviews...More

The setting is perfect. This restaurant has a wonderful dining room that is breathtaking. The service is very attentive and food is deliciously made. Very high bar for freshness and a wonderful view from the floor to ceiling windows.

The expectations were extremely high and we’re exceeded. I have eaten at Jean George’s in Paris and this experience was every bit as good. Housed in the former space occupied by Tom Colicchio in the Meatpacking District, close to the High Line. Fully priced but...More

Jean Georges has a few restaurants around the world that are stupendous --and this one in New York is nothing less of fantastic. Admittedly, the meal is expensive and may put a little dent in your wallet, whether you go for lunch or dinner. However,...More

Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. The local farmer’s market is the driving force behind the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients. The prix-fixe and tasting menus are available Monday through Sunday for dinner. The restaurant also offers a two-course lunch menu for a terrific value. Gentleman are required to wear a jacket. No jeans, sweatshirts or sneakers allowed. Tie is not required.
