This restaurant is the best I’ve been to. All courses were perfectly prepared and so flavorful. The wines selected with the pairing completed each dish. The service is top notch. It is definitely a special occasion place. Check out the menu and pricing online- if...More

We had a fabulous, leisurely... and delicious lunch at Jean-Georges. Several unexpected treats! The service Asher and Georgia provided was outstanding.

We went for lunch, which is more reasonably priced, for a special birthday. We were blown away by the ambience, the service, and the food. We were expecting tiny portions but left stuffed. Would highly recommend trying Jean Georges- if not for the dinner at...More

Amicable yet mechanically and redundantly flawed service (asking same questions over and over again). Food was not memorable, and two dishes were inedible (incredibly salty) and left unfinished. I have an incredibly high tolerance for salt and that should speak VOLUMES. At a restaurant of...More

Dining at Jean George delights the palate while it drains the coffers. First, you must be seated at a banquette, which is far superior to an interior table; second, you must splurge on the specially-filled eggs. Otherwise, the food is splendid, the wines do much...More

This is a restaurant for those who enjoy exotic food and fish. Everything is elegantly prepared and presented. It is incredible what they do with different types of fish. Since this is not what Ibparticularly enjoy, I had broccoli pea soy and white asparagus for...More

Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. The local farmer’s market is the driving force behind the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients. The prix-fixe and tasting menus are available Monday through Sunday for dinner. The restaurant also offers a two-course lunch menu for a terrific value. Gentleman are required to wear a jacket. No jeans, sweatshirts or sneakers allowed. Tie is not required.
