We previously submitted a positive review as we have been to Le Souk several times in the past and normally they have been pleasant experiences. Last night though, was the worst experience we have had in any establishment. The service was substandard and it made it seem as they were doing us a favor in tending to us rather then... More

So I went on a Monday night around 8 with my friends. We got there and there was only like 3 other couples there. We requested VIP section and got it. We also got hummus and chicken puffs with sugar (different). The hummus was just ok. We got a hookah, and we're just relaxing. Our waiter was very cool and... More

Great find in Greenwich Village. Amazing ambient with excellent Mediterranean & Marocan food. Home made humus was amazing aswell whole fish seabass branzino and duo d'agno. Very afordable bottles of wine. Remarkable bottle ob Bordeaux for only 78 by the botyle? Great knowledgeable and super attentive Service, ask for Dusan. Shukran

We went to La Souk early on a Saturday evening, about 6.00, for a meal before going round the corner to Terra Blues. From the outside La Souk looks quite upmarket and appealing, we decided to give it a try and were offered a table at the top of the stairs on a landing. There were about 5 tables there... More

As you enter Le Souk, we went up two separate staircases which leads you into the main lounge are on the third floor. On the first floor, there is a restaurant and the second floor has a small seating area. The main lounge area is on the third floor where we had our event the Le Souk manager, Alain was... More

My husband and I came here for dinner after purchasing a Groupon. Some areas were a little worn. The food was interesting and flavorful. My husband loved it all. By 7:30 or so it was packed. Looked like a great place for happy hour or after work drinks. Might return in the future but not a definite must.

Carded at the door for an 8:30 reservation. Music so loud, could not hear anyone at my table. Windows are blacked out. Bathroom is dark. Service sporadically stopped by - no drink menu initially, no wine presentation. Eggplant and paella were tasty and delicious as were the hot bread rolls. Not worth the overall unwelcoming environment.

I've lived in New York City for 20 years and this is my first time at Le Souk. I've heard of it for some time but just never made it. Well, that's going to change. The food was so delicious. The restaurant is very charming and best of all, they have outdoor seating, which is where we sat tonight. Loved... More

We went to Le Souk by happenstance and were immediately overwhelmed by the original setting and vibrant ambiance. We had a phenomenal time eating dinner, observing and partaking in bellydancing and later in the evening dancing to great music by DJ. Definitely a "must see" when in NY. Kathy and Gabe

Visited here with a friend for a late dinner after a long day of work. It was getting close to their closing time when they convert the place from a restaurant to hookah bar / night club. Overall, I felt it was pretentious food with pretentious people. The only positive for my friend was that he enjoyed the hookah since... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
