Not your typical place to bring a 10 & 13 year old but wow was it amazing. The kids loved the small restaurant atmosphere and no frills that comes from the chain restaurants. Only seats 30-40 guests. The food was outstanding, get the homemade pasta and the duck, both are amazing. Wine was great too. Definitely will be back, with... More

Just like being in a neighborhood family owned restaurant in Paris. Small, tight quarters but fun and definately a local destination. The food was delightful, Duck Confit was the best. Was there with business associates and everyone enjoyed their food. And the prices are very reasonable. Don't expect the a price fancy French dining experience. This is real. I will... More

We enjoyed our meal, our food wasn't amazing but it was good. We have had better French cuisine in Manhattan but it was good. The owner's rudeness ruined our experience. He ignored requests for service then rolled his eyes when my wife or I would persist and ask for some water or our check. When he asked if we wanted... More

Dined here with my beau in a last-minute decision on Friday night. What a delightful meal! We had the beet salad, duck confit and steak frites. All of the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my steak frites - the steam was perfectly cooked to medium-rare and the fries crispy and soft. We had wine (quite a bit) and both... More

Enjoyed a lovely anniversary dinner while on a recent trip to NYC. The restaurant is small, only a few tables, but very quaint. We were seated in a make shift table near the front door and received personal attention from the owner. Steak frites was very good. Would recommend!

My girlfriend and I always come here. It is our go-to neighborhood nook for Parisian experience. We even came here our New Years Eve dinner! The food is always delicious and freshly made. I recommend the French Onion Soup. Looking for a relaxing brunch location? Well this is also a fantastic choice. The service has also always been so polite... More

Tiny, but we were comfortable and the sound level was not bad. Excellent, very quick (almost too quick) service. Authentic french flavors, seasonings. Very, very poor piece of calves liver. Sorry to hear no onion soup on lunch menu.

Had lobster bisque-spicy broth, 3 shreds either crab or lobster, and a salad dressed with old oil, chunks of cheese. Chefs from Central America, not France. My husband liked his chicken. Would not return.

This was our second excellent dinner at Le Parisien within the year. Friendly service. Filled with happy diners and lively conservation. Our duck pate, endive salad, skate, mussels marinieres and creme brûlée were delicious.

We've been going to Le Parisien for years and only now I decided to write a review of this amazing gem in midtown. On the outside the restaurant seems very unassuming. when you step in - it's like being teleported to a small Parisian restaurant. The menu consists of very well known and simple staples of the french kitchen. this... More

Description
Le Parisien is the go-to neighborhood bistrot for Murray Hill, offering classic French food like steak frites, escargots and moules marinieres, paired with a well-edited list of french wines. Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere. Also open daily for lunch and brunch on weekends.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
