We ate here, booking it on the day because of its proximity to Radio City Music Hall where we were seeing a show afterwards. The restaurant was busy but staff were super efficient and so, service was fast. 4 of us dined, 1 had salad, 2 pasta and 1 steak. All food was very good. Only downside was that, as... More

Got recommendations / reservation from concierge at Hilton Time Square. Easy walk from hotel. Seated promptly. Nice menu. Four of us ordered one salad and three cheeseburgers. Burgers cooked as ordered. Not too pricey. Beers and wine selection good. Carlos, our waiter, was excellent. Multilevel dining room. Very pleasant. Nice dinner, great service. Made it out with plenty of time... More

For an early dinner, we chose Bobby Van's for its well known name in the vicinity of our theater. While the atmosphere and waiters were pleasant, the sole meuniere was mushy and covered with a lemon cream sauce. I think they used the same béchamel sauce for the spinach - the onion rings were delicious, served in a wire basket,... More

I joined two colleagues for dinner on monday last. The tables are well presented, with crisp tablecloths and attentive staff. There was an extensive menu of specials but two of us had the sea-bass which was well presented and probably one of the best I have ever had. Very convenient for Times Square. We just had a main course each... More

In our party of four everyone ordered the petite filet. Two sides are included and could be exchanged for whatever you preferred. Cost was about $50 each person. All the sides we tried were very good. The steaks were cooked pretty close to our desired doneness but maybe closer to medium well than medium. Had great flavor. Good wine selection.

We were a group of 16 and had a set menu. I chose the Caesar salad, the dry aged sirloin, and the chocolate mousse cake. But before our meals came out, we had baskets of different types of bread brought to the table -- 4 baskets for 16 people, which was at least 1 or 2 baskets too many. Perhaps... More

Excellent pre-theatre steak Gorgonzola. To be honest I prefer the ambience at the 50th st outlet, but food and service here were good. Felt a bit like sitting in shop window. Most important though was that we got through in good time!

Steak a la stone was simply great. Potato leak soup is a good choice too. Service is good. Not perfect but good.

We had a guys night out at BV's and everything was superb. We started with the thick bacon and fried calamari. Both were outstanding. The green peanut sauce served with the calamari is also great for dipping bread. (By the way, the only knock on BV's is the bread. Great sesame breadsticks, but the rolls were tough.) We shared a... Got there with a friend. We had cocktails then some meat. Service is really weak. You don't feel welcome. The place doesn't have much character, the cocktails were disappointing. The meat was really good and if you could abstract all of the rest and forget about the amount of the bill, this would be a good experience!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
