I enjoyed a great dinner for my birthday. The food was great. I had the deviled eggs and the jerk catfish and grits. After dinner I hung out at the bar. The bar had a very nice vibe with good music and later dancing. My only complaint was bar service was very slow. It took several tries to get the... More

We booked before leaving Vancouver and were so excited to come here for the Sunday gospel brunch. It was exactly what I expected but more than what the rest of our group expected with lots of tears included in the wonder of the performances. The food was good but we came for the gospel and it was wonderful. Thank you... More

This was the perfect place to bring well-behaved, but noisy teenagers for a birthday dinner. Who cares about a pack of giggly girls in the corner when there is fantastic live music? It's already loud (a little too loud at times). My vegetarian daughter absolutely loves the cornbread and the mac & greens. So when I asked her where she... More

I had a delicious salad a lemonade with mint that was very good and for my main course I had grits. It is served with tomato sauce and although it comes with cheese I didn't want any cheese. It was good without it. The place was packed. We had reservation but I heard without them it would have been a... More

It was a Sunday brunch and the place was packed. It's a very happy and cool place - live jazz band and the works. But the food was disappointing. I do bot know if it's the brunch menu only but it was unimaginative an, well, not that tasteful Maybe we should go back at dinner time.

Absolutely love this place. I've followed chef Marcus Samuelsson from a distance over the years as he's been on and off in Swedish media but never managed to eat at one of his places in NY. Red Rooster Harlem was, as expected, colorful and vibrant with a good staff to match. As I was eating solo I tool a place... More

May have been all the rage at one time but it is getting expensive. Odd menu with appetizers being very expensive for signature dishes. Had Red Rooster punch which is Sangria based and it was 11 bucks and came in a small wine glass. Chicken with waffles was 17 and it was a small piece of chicken with half a... More

More than the food which was great by the way, the key to RR's ambience stemmed from the bar, its barmen, the DJs and the grooves that kept us up on our feet dancing all night. Very rarely do I have such genuine fun at bars and RR did that effortlessly.

The Red Rooster was the perfect place for lunch. Busy and lively, reservations are a must. The food is mostly southern in style, but with an interesting addition of Ethiopian flavors. Everything was very good. The tacos and the dumplings were especially good. Try the doughnuts for desert!

This is a cool place in Harlem Robust food with the highest quality. Super good service and a fast pace. Please be in time, you will loose your table if you are late. Definitely good value for money and a fine fine food experience
