We were tired and hungry after our long flight to NYC, and this was our first stop... boy were we glad we found this place as the food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the beer was cold! We got burgers (the sliders are amazing!) and shared chillli cheese fries - everything was fantastic. The best part is... More

Very popular local eating place. Packed at Saturday lunchtime at time of visit. Not far from the southern end of the The Highline. Very good burger ($9.95). Generous side portions of fries ($5). Drinks are relatively expensive - $11-13 per glass of wine. Bottles $42-50. Bottles of beers/lager $6-9; drafts $8-9 pint. There's a Happy Hour 4.00-7.00pm, Monday - Friday... More

We finished walking the High Line and kids were hungry so this is one of those small places that doesn't cost a fortune. The menu was very simple, pretty much just burgers. We ordered chilli dogs, sliders, bills burger and Swiss and mushroom, cheese fries and chocolate mint shakes. The shake took about 10 minutes and since the kids were... More

The service was extremely bad. Our server forgot our order 3 times. When we finally got our food it was the wrong order.

We found this place by accident but were so happy we did! It was a nice, warm place with great service and good food. A really nice place to sit, relax and people watch.

We went here family of 4 with 2 teenage boys. Cool spot in busy neighbourhood. Nice buzz in place. Busy and staff well organised. Fairly priced and burgers good. Service good too. The bill was about $70. We had fries and lager with burgers. Disco fries yum with gravy and cheese!

While visiting the Whitney Museum in the Meat Packing District/Chelsea, I noticed the nearby restaurants were high-priced. But just steps away was Bill's, with its incredibly delicious burgers for an accessible price! Service is fast and friendly.

On a bitingly cold day with NYC under imminent threat of snowy obliteration and having spent best part of an hour getting to within striking distance of the Whitney with a non-English speaking cab driver who had never heard of it (or anywhere else in the city for that matter) a warm, welcoming neighbourhood bar is just what you need.... Kitchen seemed a bit chaotic with serving staff looking stressed about it. My salad sat out for ages while they waited for my husband's burger. We had finished our fries about 15 mins before the rest of the meal appeared. The burger was delicious. The salad very uninspiring. Beer great according to my husband!

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
