Across the street from the beloved Angelika theater, a burger bar with a decidedly upscale bent. Artisan burger, wine flights, fancy cocktails and excellent service. Our tuna tartare appetizer was excellent, the burgers were great and the desserts were also very well-executed. Very long wine list, but also a well-chosen list of wines by the glass. Given the location and... More

I decided to book here having read about how good their burgers were and I was certainly not disappointed. Myself and a friend both ordered a burger for main course...both the meat and fillings/relish were really tasty! However, my favourite part of the restaurant was the lamp lighting on every table, which made dinner really intimate and relaxed in the... More

Not a fancy menu but good, tasty food. Excellent burgers and sides. Reasonable selection of beers. Made to feel welcome.

Awesome burgers with a nice on tap selection of local brews. Surprisingly they have a very large wine selection. Fries were fresh cut and fried.

We were visiting from New Orleans and walking soho. Stumbled across this place. The decor, staff and food were excellent. When our drinks were taking a bit to long to come out the server sent out a complimentary app. Very nice!! Everything was great. The burgers were very good. If you are a burger lover you will be satisfied. Had... More

This is a great place for quality burgers (which aren't typically huge USA portions) and a beer. Service slick, atmosphere good and simple but great food, highly recommended

Thank goodness B&B accepts reservations as otherwise we would not have discovered it when searching for a rendezvous for far flung family. Excellent burgers, sizable salads, an enormous fruit salad. Service courteous, competent and unrushed. Will be back.

I realise I've not written a bad review about our stay in New York... but that's because we didn't have a bad meal and we were totally lead by our elaborate system of maps, guide books and ours stomachs! Burger and Barrel is a perfect Sunday brunch location. They mix a fantastic bloody Mary..and some interesting sounding Bloody Mary variations... More

Wanted the lamb burger, but they had run out :-( I got another burger, which was pretty good. The tater tots were delicious though!

A burger shouldn't have the capability of being life changing, until you visit B&B. This is quite simply Mecca for burger lovers. Throw in a fantastic wine list, excellent but relaxed service, and a great atmosphere...what more can I say. Yum

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
