Unfortunately the food wasn't great. The staff were very friendly and atmosphere was great... however, the risotto was bland and overcooked. The beef rib was cooked well (at some point) as it was falling off the bone but unfortunately my whole dish came out luke warm and it was also bland. The waitress did ask if food was okay, but... Cozy restaurant with great food. Service was impeccable. Varied entrees. The grilled vegetables and salmon selections were delicious and desserts were great. All selections were pleasing to look at. Good GF selections.

We thoroughly enjoyed a pleasant lunch hour at this small restaurant. The best grilled vegetable plate I ever had, beautiful to look at the delicious. The service was also excellent and every table was filled. I would definitely go back for the great variety on the menu too. Prices were reasonable.

Wow. This was my first visit to the Chelsea area of New York and had no idea where to eat. Having just returned form the Dominican Republic I had a taste for something different. We were walking along the street and noticed Porteno, an Argentine restaurant. First off, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Who spoke beautiful... More

This was without a doubt the best meal my family and I had all week whilst in NYC. The menu had a good choice, the food was so yummy and the staff were very friendly and helpful in recommending meals and wines. Everything within our 3 course dinner complimented each other really well thanks to the waitresses suggestions. The cheese... More

We called in here before going to a show at the McKittrick Theater. Great little find. Pleasant service, vibrant ambience, standard cocktail list etc. The empanadas, meat and cheese were fantastic and frankly probably all we needed. So we certainly didn't need and nor could we eat the raw, doughy gnocchi that turned up as a sharing plate. Perhaps the... More

Four of us dined here early (5:30pm) on a Monday eve. The restaurant has about 12 tables and only 2 were taken. We were promptly seated and offered drinks and menus. The waitstaff was charming and efficient. Service was excellent. We (3 of us) ordered the Rigatoni with sausage and spicy tomato sauce ($17); 1 of us ordered the Lomita... More

The restaurant is small but cosy. It's easy to have a conversation, service is friendly and attentive and, most importantly, the food is delicious. We'll be back for sure.

Fantastic little Argentinian restaurant in the Chelsea area. I'd recommend reserving a table (you can do this online) as it is a very small place. Definitely worth a visit. The staff, service, food and drink were all top notch!

After lining up for everything in theater district it was a real pleasure to get peace, a 16 oz ribeye to die for, and a bottle of the best Malbec I've ever had. Steps away from Highline Park , so very handy for walking lunch off.
