Loved the black and white version. Also tried, key lime, cookies and cream, unicorn, salted caramel and coconut.

I love icing and I find that Georgetown's cupcakes get the icing-cake ratio just right for my tastes: i.e. LOTS of icing!! I tried a red velvet one, which I found to be perfectly moist and not overly sweet. Highly recommended!

We have visited here before and we have been so impressed. The cupcakes continue to be great, but there were sacks of sugar and other baking supplies stacked in the dining room and a guy came in for an internet order and cut in front of everyone. This was a problem because they could not find the 5th shopping bag... More

First time visitor to GC over the weekend. Firstly, I wish they opened a little earlier.. 10 o'clock is too late when you want to get for the office IMO. Regardless, the bakery was nearly empty when I strolled in at half past 10. Surprisingly they didn't even have display cupcakes out yet which I thought very strange. There are... More

They have a whole bunch of varieties. I dont know how to define a "perfect" tasting cupcake but this is definitely one of my favorite places to get cupcakes. Decent prices. Worth the try!

I bought 2 dozen cupcakes at a price of $76 and 1 out of 4 is fresh. They are regular size cupcakes. Most of the cupcakes were dried out and fell apart especially the chocolate. They could not have been fresh that day or day before. One dozen was for my coworkers, and they all were disappointed. Frosting was good.... More

You guys, go here. The gluten free peanut butter fudge--the frosting was magical. Lovely cupcakes and such a cool area.

This was a must on our recent trip to Washington. If you go online you can find out what the free flavour of the day is so take time to do that so that you can add it to your order. There is a queue outside but it gets moving quickly. We had a lovely selection that were both light... More

These were good cupcakes. There was a lot of originality and variety. The décor was edible, which was nice, and they were neatly decorated. They have a very good gluten free cupcake. However, they could still be better.

Alas this trip was not as fulfilling as we hoped. We took the subway and then walked several blocks to find this acclaimed bakery. We had to fly home that evening so we were there early. In fact, we arrived at Georgetown Bakery shortly after they opened. The staff was rude and gave off the impression that they were inconvenienced... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
