Dark and dingy location with poor service at least the day we visited. Food prices were high for what you get. Nothing spectacular but definitely authentic Moroccan food.

Very good renditions of Tagines (meat or seafood) and Couscous, especially the Royal! Slow cooked with genuine Maroccan spices. And the service was outstanding from the door to the bus boys. We even had the visit of the owner. I certainly plan on returning there with friends.

Comfortable, unhassled, welcoming restaurant, but the food was just grim. Couscous swirling around the dish, dried out chicken and generally nasty veg. And it wasn't cheap! Sorry, I really cannot recommend this place.

Ten of us visited Arabesque for dinner and we were all very impressed. The atmosphere in the 'back room' , the appetizers, the wine selection, and the main courses all great. We had some vegetarians in the group and they were happy as well. The grilled lamb was my favorite and the baba ganoush was very good as well. Some... More

Visited Arabesque for a quick dinner before a show as it was close to our Hotel and glad we did!! Staff was extremely helpful, food did not disappoint as we found it to be fresh, authentic and very well prepared. We could not stay but later on Saturday nights they have Belly Dancing and Hookah. Hope to visit again soon.

When you are in NY and want to chill out with friends go to Arabesque . Great Moroccan food and the Hookah is great.

If you enjoy Middle Eastern and Moroccan food, as well as a cozy, authentic ambience, check out Arabesque. The food is exceptional, and is very authentic Moroccan. The interior is great, it feels like you're in an actual Moroccan place. There is a separate hookah lounge, too. Service is excellent. This is the kind off place I would frequent if... More

Ahh yes: good news and bad news one more time. The menu is short, some of it Moroccan. What we ate was really REALLY tasty. The service (see below) is mediocre: in the price range of this restaurant you expect knowledge of the cuisine, the ability to speak understandable english and attentiveness. And that ain't there. We got the wrong... More

Husband and I visited this weekend for my birthday dinner. We went early (by NYC standards), so it was not loud and busy. We had made an online reservation and were greeted by name when we walked into the restaurant. (Nice start to the evening!) Our waiter was friendly, attentive and not overbearing. We started with the Salmon Carpaccio (wonderful)... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
