This place never lets you down. Open late, cheap, and remarkably tasty and authentic. The staff are always cheerful, and there is always a quiet bustle of activity. A critical restaurant, especially for late night snacks.

Very good falafel, great for a quick bite and delicious. The tahini sauce was great! The store is tiny, with standing space and some bar seats. Food is also available to go. Highly recommend this place!

Needed something quick. Picked up a falafel. Nothing special but it was a mere $3.50. Filled the bill.

I adore Mamoun's. Where else in Manhattan (or anywhere else for that matter) can you get a delicious, hot, fast, hearty, healthy, and inexpensive meal? Mamoun's falafel wrap is just $3.50 (I remember when it was only $2.50! For that you get a warm pita stuffed with delectable falafel balls, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and tahini. Add a drink and... I attended the NYU Law School, located exactly one block north of Mamoun's Falafel on Macdougal Street, graduating in 1974. Then as now, the Law School had absolutely top-level programs in International Law, Taxation, and numerous other fields. I had elected International Law. I hung ... as we say ... with a small group of fellow students, including two graduate... More

In 1975 my friend introduced me to a Baba Ghanoush sandwich here. And now 42 years later, I return for the best hummus, falafel and more. A Gr. Village gem.

This is a tiny little place, lovely people working there! Everything was nice, location, decor and the taste of my tiny falafel sandwich was great! I had to give it a two due to the fact that 12 hours after the sandwich I was still digesting it. It left me with cramps and stomach ache, sadly as the taste was... More

In the UK falafel is dry. As a vegetarian on holiday surrounded by steak houses, this little restaurant was a great stop. The falafel is very tasty and moist and comes with various sauces. There are a lot of great food stops along that street. I recommend doing a food tour.
